Thanks guys, I am going to try it again. I only poured 2 batches after pouring other stuff. Thought I would try getting some suggestions before pouring a lot of them. I will make sure the mold is hotter before starting to pour.

No, the ice is 10-12 inches in this pic. It really isn't too bad out there if you are properly dressed.

I have been pouring drop shot sinkers and jig heads. When I poured into my new molds, a screw lock shakey head, the lead heads are loose, especially the 1/16 oz, any suggestions? Would it help to heat the hook some? I am using a 4/0 size.

I went to a locally owned tire store (not a chain) and the owner sold me tire weights for $0.10 per lb. I also talked to the head of the radiology dept at the hospital where I work and she is going to save me any lead that needs "disposed of."
