  1. Well, Come to think of it; It is rather teaish in color. Atleast, It gives that appearance in some areas, mostly around small/shallow coves and along the shoreline. I mean, its really Clean water and almost has a Lake appearance to it. But its just extremely Dark. I honestly couldn't tell ya what type of bait fish are currently inhabiting it. Far as I know He has: Arkansaw Cats, Hybrid bluegills, Bass, and a few Flatheads stocked in it. But I'm thinking Drop-shot might be the way to go; Atleast as long as those females stay suspending before Prespawn. I guess my next question is "How deep would the bass inhabit a pond with depth, such as this one"? I kn ow it has alot to do with oxygen levels and such..
  2. Ha, gotta Go with a Classic on this one; A big ole black Jitterbug all the way.
  3. Well, It depends on what you mean by a "jig"... I"ve had great success fishing with grubs, worms, tubes, etc...with Jig head. THe Jigs I could never seem to get any form a response to are the "hairy" jigs. I just think their extremely overrated and as someone already pointed out, all you seem to pull in with them is moss.. Thats just seems to be my experience with them but yet, many have had great success with them. I've actually had great success with the banjo minnow. Offcourse, I bought a G-loomis especially for that purpose. I think alot of times, Its not the actualy lure itself, but it can be more of the : presentation, Rod/reel/line setup, Conditions (seasonal/spec. weather) and the paticular angler's patience level. Its like some people complaining about a certain brand ammunition not grouping effectively; when infact, it may not be the ammunition at all. It may be only or a combination of the Firearm and the specific shooter. Every firearm, can shoot better and differently, depending on a multitude of factors. Every firearm likes a specific brand of ammunition, and offcourse their are those cases where "one" type can work in "all"..
  4. Well, The stuff I saw went 8.99 for 6lb, 1500yds, About what some of the berkely brands were selling for. It came In a clear blue; So, I'm wondering if I could possibly use it for light finesse? Ex...Dropshots..
  5. Any of you have Thoughts, Experiences, or Opinions of this brand of line?
  6. Any lure/presentation suggestions for fishing a pond with: very Dark,Deep, and Slightly stained water? The pond is around an acre- to an acre and half in size. One Side of the pond has a drop off of around 40 feet and its pretty much a sand/clay bottom with some algae growth. I did have some success earlier this month, right at the beginning of the ice out. I was ussing some x-raps model XR8's and just jigging a worm with a slip sinker off the bottom. I mostly snacked males ranging from a half to a pound and half but things have slowed down dremendlously.. LIke I've stated earlier, The water is relatively Dark but clean, with a slight stain texture to it. My friend is pretty convinced that there are some with size; Considering, noone hardly fishes it and its build down into a valley ,where no run-off can be expose to it.
  7. You know just trust your gut insticts on how it should be written......If its your destined path....it'll work out. Plus i'm not a big fan of resume's anywayz......someone could look so good on paper..but may be represented totally different in person. Its pretty much a hit and miss, trust me...just be yourself. "Fishers of men"....winks...Keep the good work up!

  9. Oh for mine i'd say: 1. jitterbug (can't beat the classics) U can fish them all day if there slammin water. 2. rebel's crawfish (gotta love that twitchin) 3. zooms red shad U tail worm (bass really do love them) w/ a 1/4 ounce jig head. 4. zoom fluke 5. bill dances terminator series spinnerbait 6. Banjo minnow (just to name a few)
  10. lolz....ahahahah naw....This past deer season kept me from headin down that road...funny how things work...one of kind of season ends and another one picks up.. But thanks for all who contributed....still don't know quite yet whats my game plan for March. Might have to pick up some senkos and some of these creature baits i've been hearin about from other posts.. but if anyone wants to add some for tips...your more than welcomed!!!
  11. Hey well I just recently joined this forum and thought i'd start out by asking a question. Well see, I live in the upper midwest and been sufferin from fishin withdraw for about 7 months now. So I was thinkin about headin out in about two weeks, probably when the waters around here start defrosting alittle... I was thinkin about fishin one of my buddies pond, which at the deepest its about 40ft and thats smack dab in the middle. So any season veterans out their know whats a hot wintertime bass tactic? Couple people said using deep diving jerkbaits, or a jig n pig. What about dropshotting finesse? Also some say crankin but I tend to lean that might be alittle to fast.
