That is what I am saying is the reason why you can not crown anyone as "Greatest Athlete". It is just not possible.

Yes the wind can be a horrible thing and sometimes are the right things just don't work. You just got to keep on trying and you will get into them.

That's the reason why Tiger can't be named best athlete ever. With the exception of a few you are comparing apples to oranges. Michael Jordan was a great basketball player yet an average baseball player. Does that take away from him being an athlete. Can Tiger consistently hit a 20 ft jumper? Could Farve hit a curve ball?

I think some are confusing Athlete with Athletesism. Larry Bird was a great athlete but was not very athletic.

There are "fatties" in many sports. My point wasn't to say that Tiger was an amazing athlete, just that the statement that we can also play golf doesn't really mean much. I can play basketball, baseball, and football too, but I'm not all that good at them either. Tony Gwyn comes to mind. Arguably one of the greatest hitters of all times. I don't think you can have a greatest "athlete". It's apples and oranges. Tiger will be one day the greatest golfer to ever play. Based on some of your definitions the only people who should be "athletes" would be decatheletes.
