  11. Unless it is the "dead of winter" not often at all. May not always catch quality fish, but almost always able to scratch something out.
  12. If you can hire the right guide, there is nothing you could do that will move you up the learning curve faster. This is money well spent and while you are learning, you will probably catch a few fish! 8-) I would strongly agree a quality guide is definately the quickest way to learn. I would say though I have learned more form the posts on this site than I get from most books.
  13. WHY

I would think that it's hard to label somebody a "poser" if you don't know ANYTHING about them personally. I think it safe to say that only a handful of the members here even know each other. That would mean that you're either the self proclaimed barometer of poser-ness, or you just assume that some people are wrong because you think that you are right. Having watched as a non-user here for awhile, it seems like people with tenure are allowed to do some things that are straight up rude sometimes that other people are not. It's sort of accepted as the cultural norm. It's not forbidden to call someone on BS here from what I understand. It does, however, help your case if you have some sort of fact-based information to show that what they said is actually BS, and not just something that you don't agree with. It's possible that the site has taken a slant towards what you think it is because the respectful/mature/knowledgeable folks get tired of the boo-hooing by some of the eliteists and leave. This is a shared community that has an open membership. Some have just been here longer than others, that's all your post count means. The way you carry and represent yourself as a person is what garners you respect. Exactly. I don't understand were some folks think because they have a higher post count they know more than anyone who may be trying to sharer their knowledge and or opinion. After all isn't that what this forum is about. Who cares if someone posts on every thread. Who cares if someone doesn't take your advice. That is all it is. Advice and opinion. Calling someone a poser? Based on what? Being new to this site I appreciate those of you who put the work in to make this forum what it is. For those of you who seem to feel that those of us who are new to the forum or you think are too young to have valid information, sorry but you should get to know someone before you dismiss them as a poser.
  14. Not at all. I love that smell too.
  15. Good Luck. I still gotta wait a couple weeks to kick off my season
  16. I get them because of some medication I have to take. If you are really worried though and they are happening frequently see your doctor.
  17. That is a rare find indeed. I had to burn through many before I found one that would let me prefish on her birthday.
