  1. That is a nice setup. You did a great job with what you had.
  2. Nice Cat. They sure are ugly when they get that big.
  3. Yeah I agree grubs are awesome during the winter. Reaction baits first. Then slow it down.
  4. Great day!!!
  5. Welcome. You have picked some great places to want to fish.
  6. I drop-shot with 35# Gorilla Braid and a 12# Fluro leader.
  7. I use a 7' Heavy XPS pole and don't have any problems.
  8. As far as hardest hits would be in the late summer and early fall when the fish fatten up for winter.
  9. 6:2:1 is faster. I believer always use the fastest you can. You can always slow down your reeling. With a high speed reel you can get the bait back faster and make more casts.

  11. I agree there are so many ways to fish them. Do research but more importantly experiment and gain confidence.
  12. Creek channels are the original creek or riverbeds that flowed through an area before it was dammed up and flooded. The roadbeds are the same types of things that were either there before or roads used for construction of the dam. Old maps of an area before it was flooded or most good fishing maps show these features.
  13. Are the fish in your are affected by water temperature the same as say here in Northern California? I guess what I am asking is does the water temp on the Columbia River ever warm up to say 70+? Do they spawn in cooler water than they would down here? And lastley do they have Largemouth on the Columbia?
  14. Don't use the heater. 65 in the summer.
  15. I'd drop some deep and then maybe some on the slope leading to the deep water.
  16. Congratulations.
