You are right on! lake closures and things such as this amount to no more than symbolic measures. There are many other means of the mussles spreading as you so well state. There are no rumors up here in Nor Cal about any lake closures yet. The line has to be drawn somwhere. The petition idea and all is wonderful. If you are a B.A.S.S. member maybe you should contact them. They have experience with anglers rights issues.

I tend to agree with Glenn on this matter (though I don't entirely disagree with you). The problem with the original question, though certainly innocent in motive, is that rumors are so easy started. I don't believe in suppressing freedom of speech (at least not usually) but when even the suggestion of impropriety occurs, then things tend to take off like a wildfire. I like that this forum remains positive. I don't disagree with Glen in the sense that this forum should remain positive. I just didn't think anyone attempted to bash Mr. Dance. This is by far the best forum I have ever been on and that is a direct credit to Glen and the rest of the Mods as well as some of the Long Time Posters.

I choose my colors based on water clarity and forage. black/blue, chartruse, watermelon, chrome and red are basically the colors I throw for all my baits.

Try fishing behind one of these. This Sea Lion was in Little Potato Slough munchin on a catfish. He had no fear of the boat at all.
