  1. I use all bandits for my shallow crankin(footloose and 100). They have been great for me. You have about a million different color choices. Hey Kb...i cant believe the mistake actually works lol..ill have to buy some!
  2. 60 degrees seems to be the magic temperature
  3. i agree...probably crappie
  4. Yes, Dean what i've done is fill a garbage can with an assortment of big rocks and find your spot and dump the rocks from the garbage can in the water...I'm sure there are other ways but this is what ive done and it gets the job done
  5. what a coinsidence lol.....i sunk a huge cedar tree today. I love to sink cover and fish attractors. I've probably done over 50 lol. Everything from the pvc, making wooden fish boxes, rock piles, and everything you can think of, but what ive found to be the most productive is lots of cedars/hardwoods bundled up together...and i mean lots of them. You should try some different things with this. ;D ;D ;D
  6. i think im gonna turn it into some kind of camo paint job lol

  11. I caught a very large water moccasin while fishing a booyah pond magic spinnerbait. I was freaked out. I just unhooked him with pliers(without toughing him lol)
  12. I've been lookin for an old cheap bow mount trolling motor like that. Anybody know where I could maybe find one? I'm going to use that pin idea. I really like that. I'm going to make a small deck.
  13. i fished a neighborhood lake called woodland pond. Actually more of a lake: 107 acres I started out throwing X-Raps(deep version) and got a absss and a chain pickerel. I then felt fishing vertical. So i went out in the channel and looked for pods of fish and bait stacked up on the bends/brushpiles/or any structure out there. I was fishin a 1/2 oz silver hopkins with a owner dressed treble. I caught 3 on that. All three very nice fish. A 2 1/2 a 3 and a 5. I guess i did pretty good for the waterb being 46 degrees, and the air temp lower than that today lol
  14. I've done this a few times for big Flatheads and while i was doing I'd catch some big bass and i mean big. It may sound crazy...but bring some scissors along and cut the real sharp part of the breams dorsil. I always do this when fishing with bream. The results show. I'd just tie a big treble and leave a 4 or 5 inch tag end. Then I'd tie a a big single hook(I'd use a 4/0 kahle). I'd hook the treble through the nostrils and the kahle under the dorsil. The key is really letting them eat it and dont set the hook like a worm or jig. Try that and bet you'll catchem Good Luck! ;D ;D ;D Tell us if you catch her.
  15. Some of you guys might be thinking i'm waisting your time with this post because it doesn't have pics but i don't have enough posts to post them yet, but anyway. I Had a 14 foot jon boat and it's not very wide but i wanted to put a deck on the front: so i looked around and found the sunk-in type deck and loved it. So i built that and did a storage type compartment in the front of the boat and made the transom cover. I got it all carpeted and on the boat this morning i'm jus messing around with some switch panel ideas and cup holder ideas. Any tips for the switch panel and cup holders would be very appreciated. I'll post pics as soon as the forum will let me. what do you mean by sunk in deck? Do you have any links..or can you post some pics. I have an 11 foot jon boat that im modifying but really dont know if i should deck it or not.
