  1. i always use a red glass bead for texas riggin..i dont use one when im pegging or for weightless obviously. Its just a confidence thing for me.
  2. i agree...dont really have a lucky lure..but theres those baits i just wouldnt want to loose
  3. what are some patterns/techniques that are working for you guys at this time of the year? or just prespawn in generall. I go out and catch a few fish, but i cnat seem to dial in on a real good pattern.....
  4. i have a 10 foot jon....and i love it...i usually fish by my self though..... hey wayne..what waters do you fish?? i live in central va too
  5. haha...my fishing partner uses one hand and i always wonder how he casts. i gennerally make very long casts...and every time i whip it just about as hard as i can. I always use two!!
  6. i like the 200 shimanos for carolina riggin, flippin n pitchin, jigs, heavy worms, swimbaits, etc. i like the 100's for cranks spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jerkbaits, and light texas rigging thats just my opinion.....
  7. action is very the rod bends the most...fast action bends mainly at the tip....extra fast action bends at the tip a little more. for plastics you should get the extra fast.
  8. i have the aqua vu scout---dont think they make them anymore...mine works fine..dont use it alot. You should check ebay...also cabelas makes some good cheap ones.
  9. id fish a black n blue jig very slow....like many people have said if you think youre fishing too slow, slow down a bit more.
  10. id reccomend the citica or BPS extreme for LP and the ambassador 5500 C3 for round
  11. Shimano stradic 2500/ 7 ft M power ST. Croix Premier can use it for all of my spinning rod techiunques-senkos,flukes,tubes,drop shot, shakeys
  12. mostly 10 lb(sometimes 12) suffix elite b/c i prefer a little strecth with cranks and it casts like a rocket
  13. mine is actually one of my cheapest combos but icatch the most fish on it and its just my flat our favorite.....BPS extreme 7.1:1 reel with a shimano compre(2003 model) 6'6 Moderately fast action medium power
  14. great point!! i like the senkos for a faster fall rate. Flukes are much lighter and the only time i use them is skipping under docks(can skip them much better than senkos) or for schooling fish. I use both of them just for different purposes
  15. I like to have a little red on my bait or have red hooks(trebles only!!) but its just a confidence thing for me.
  16. i have two crankin combos. On one i have 10 (shallow to middle depths) and on my deep crankin stick i have 12....IMO you should go 10
  17. those are some nice healthy looking bass. Hope i can catch 5 of those next month in my tourny up at gaston!
  18. id reccomend bandit 100, 200, and 300 series in a few simple colors dont let the huge color selection confuse you.... keep it simple!!
  19. is that lake mattamuskeet...?
  20. has anyone tried spros aruka shad....that bait is amazing ;D ;D ;D
  21. ive drop shotted the 4 inch. and ill use the 7 in just like a normal t-rigged worm great bait!!

  23. Yes there is. i will give you the link. I am in the club from the chester/chesterfield area. We are sponsered by TBF. There will be one that is local to you. you should email one of the directors from the link i send you to see which one is closest to you.http://www.vabass.com/frames/framefederation.htm
  24. i can say that spros aruku shad is my favorite hard bait! i fish them on a 6'6" medium power, moderate action shimano compre rod and a 7.1:1 BPS extreme reel. i really like the faster retrieve with lipless cranks(i use a 5.1:1 with regular cranks). I fish it on 12 lb. suffix elite. The aruku shad is my #1 prespawn bait as well. The lipless crank bite will get real good when the waters in the mid to upper 50's.
  25. AHHH yall had to bring this up lol. i have too many to even name I'd have to agree on the sinking minnow. I bouht the gulp ones and they just never produced. this storm kickin slabswimbait ...looks just like a bluegill but comes through the water like a stick the "topknocker" from bps Banjo minnows
