I could not agree more ugly sticks are amazing rods I own one that makes every small and large fish seem like a monster as its only a UL 5'ish rod. they are Indestructible!! also they are very price affective rods!

ok sounds good I think I will chip in the extra 20 bucks and get the fenwick HMG I have heard many good stories and experences from both but seems like the HMG is very reliable rod and would make an excallent all around rod

I have most recently bought a Johny Morris spinning reel JM4000 and was woundering what kind of rod I should put it on it came down to either a St. Croix Premier or a Fenwick HMG both 6'6" M or MH any thoughts or opions on these two rods? or even another rod I could have missed? this is gonning to be an all around rod. ;D thanks

yea the magzines are small and dont get much and the books are just showing you the basics, when i was a member (not anymore) i got a chance to test out a fillet knife and I sent it in and never got anything back or the knife. >

just woundering where everyone is fishing from i know there is a simliar page but this is more for chicago land area what lakes or rivers ect. you fish and what is working lately ;D

sounds amazing dont forget that shabbona has state record muskie and other fish and is very close and can get guides for shab could be an opion ;D
