Cold Water River Fishing in MA?
Anybody doing any fishing in charles/sudbury rivers this time of year. Is there a possibility for pickeral or pike from shore this time of year in the faster flowing winter water, and if so what lures should i use if there is a possibility to catch these beasts. I just got a really bad case of withdrawal and might go out tommorow :-X thanks guys

SMALLEST FISH EVER CAUGHT!!!
i hooked a saltwater fish similar to that but a little smaller, and it was on a single hook storm swimbait, must have been a 1 in a million chance

strangest things caught?
i caught a good sized chocolate labrador one time. We were trolling striper diving cranks, and pulled up on shore to stretch our legs from the long kayak paddle when the dog saw the moving crankbait attached to my rod and went for it. It got the hook right through the lip and the fight ensued...

Finally got that striper....
wow theres still stripers off the coast of NY, seems a little late in the migration for that, but good job nonetheless, livin the dream

A good start...
absolutely stunning fish.... I had no idea you had salmon that size in NY holy crap, I wish I knew about that fishing when I was up in the fingerlakes a few years ago

First striper....
see if you can get some sea worms, run them up a bait style hook, and weight it down with a sinker. Don't set the rod down hold it and if you feel anything set that hook like your life depends on it. Try to find a place where the current really rips, that where they like to hang out. good luck

When is your season over????
seasons over for me, been a busy fall, ended the year with an 5 pound largemouth at my spot, and a 38 inch striper from my kayak.... what a year its been!!! tackles packed away in the basement, Its a little disturbing how much fishing equipment i've accumulated this year though , can't wait for my first trout fly fishing season next spring!!!!! ;D

the old weighted red trolling tube with a sea worm on the hook always does the trick

MA Sunday fishing
usually after a rainstorm the lakes shut down but the rivers get real active at least for me. Beautiful day out though, might as well go, even if the fishing is tough, wish i could go

Kayak Striper Madness (pics)
Went out yesterday with my boss for our weekly trip to a undisclosed location in boston to fish for stripers. Went out on a limb with this new spot the day before the hanna storm came. The surf was choppy and high but we hit into some serious fish. We got on the water at 4 pm and left around 6:30 and each caught about 10 stripers. I caught two keepers around 29 inches and my boss caught three keepers the largest 32 inches. We both caught a bunch of schoolies and he caught a blue as well. A fishing boat came by too and they werent having much luck and got a little jealous and started following us which was pretty annoying. All in all a good time, fall striper run is starting so everyone get out there!!!

God made pickerel...
