  1. Yeah, a bunch of guys showing up at the ramp and throwing down money to find out who's the best that day......competition at its finest.
  2. Yeah, the bigger boats need a tandem trailer and if you do any amount of traveling the tandem's are sweet to pull. I pull mine with my Tahoe and I really cant tell its behind me.....even on a hard stop.
  3. I have 2 Premiers now and got to throw them around a little this past weekend. I was pitchin' jigs at docks with one of them and flukin' with the other. Landed a few fish, nothing huge but the reels did great. Casting, reeling, fighting fish, no problems. Plus they are feather light....I like that.
  4. Here's another thread with a link in it. Those people will make a jersey any way you want it. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1197230555
  5. Just buy yourself a Revo and you'll be back on top! ;D
  6. I have the same rod and it's been great. Real sensitive and has good power...I know you'll enjoy fishing with it.
  7. I read and read all these threads about tournament fishing and alot of those threads draw in members that don't fish or have negative perceptions of tournaments and tournament fisherman. It makes me wonder.....those of you who do compete, what drives you to enter a tournament? And to those who don't, what keeps you away? Personally, I love competition. I like the challenge of being on the clock and having to put fish in the boat. It's the constant battle within to figure things out and show up with a good bag. Competition makes me a better fisherman.
  8. It is weird that he chose to leave his alma mater like that to go to Michigan, seems like he had it made there. And talk about pressure.....if he doesnt beat Ohio State on a regular basis, he'll be looking for another job quickly. Michigan alums dont really care what their overall record is for a season as long as they beat Ohio State and squeak into a bowl game. And he's going to a tougher conference. He could've won the Big East title for the rest of his life at WVU, now he's got to rebuild a Michigan team in the BIG 10?? Plus, Michigan is always way over-rated to start each season, he'll be coaching against the polls from the get-go. The guy must like a good challenge.
  9. Prefishing means nothing to a co-angler if the boater and the co-angler are not on the same page. The co-angler does one thing in practice, the boater does something else in practice and come tournament time, the boater goes with his plan 99% of the time. Try to get in touch with your boater before the tournament. That is really the only thing you can do to ensure yourself of being on top of things when it starts. (unless you have a crystal ball or ESP)
  10. I own a bunch of LC's of all types and colors and they seem to be consistent with every bait....nice paint, good actions, good hardware, very little if any tuning, etc....very good quality baits. I heard someone on here mention the Jackall Muscle Deep cranks in the past and being a deep crank fanatic, I tried them and they are killer. Nice paint, no tuning required (so far) and good hardware. I will be buying and using the Muscle's on a regular basis. Thats about the only Jackall bait I've tried. Good news is, Sportsmans Warehouse just opened here and they carry Jackall baits so I'll get to try some more in the spring. I'll have a more accurate opinion in about 4 months.
  11. Wow, excellent guess man!
  12. ....and how did you do?
  13. If the Jets arent getting any pressure on Brady he will not get pulled (although that would be the smartest thing to do). Belicheat has a bone to pick with Mangini and the Jets..... Ever heard the saying "getting beat like a red-headed stepchild" ? JETS = red-headed stepchild
  14. There are two guys in my club that fished co-angler at the Elite on Smith Mtn (Va.) this year, both of which are pretty good fisherman. One of them said it was worth the money, the other said it wasnt. I dont think either one of them fished with any of the bigger name pros though. One thing I do know is that if you are serious about it you should find out when registration is and have your mind made up a day or two ahead of time and be ready to call the minute registration opens up or see if you can register online. (I think you can)
  15. That would be my choice also. Deeper water. I know I'd throw some deep diving crankbaits first. Then probably some big profile jig & pigs. If the bigger stuff didnt work, then I would downsize.
  16. Nevermind, I found one on the TRU site. Evidently I searched in the wrong section the first time. ;D
  17. I've tried GameStop and TRU so far. The game is 2-3 years old I think and most retailers just carry the "new" stuff. I'll look at BB and CC though.
  18. My son wants an older PS2 game called Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked. I want to find him a new one but all I can locate so far are used ones. Are there any places online that sell older PS2 games that are new? Where should I look? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.
  19. Sorry to hear that TF....we're praying for you.
  20. Evidently Petrino didnt like 'em much either.
  21. Bobby Petrino called a meeting to tell his staff that he was quitting the team to take the Arkansas coaching job, then walked out of the room. Yet another big blow to the Falcons....he didnt even have enough class to finish the season.
  22. Vick did wonders here at VT and I really enjoyed watching him play. He made some plays that you look back at and say man, how did he do that? Now with what has went down with the dogfighting charges, failed drug tests, the Ron Mexico situation, the shady things he tried to carry on a plane, etc.....you just look around and say how could he do that? Everybody around here is disappointed in all that he's done since he turned pro.
