Need some shakey-head advice
When I use the spring type heads I will take my pliers and cut at least half the spring off, if not more than half, leaving just enough to secure the worm just a little bit. I WANT the worm to come off when I set the hook. I prefer the peg type holders (like the Spot Remover) but they're hard to find with a wide gap hook. I never have your problem when using the peg type. Cutting the spring off some will help your problem tremendously.

PS 3
Good info so far fellas. I'm not buying anything used so getting one new that plays PS2 games is probably out of the question. GTrombly....is downloading the PS2 games free?

screws poping out of side rubber bumper
You talkin' about the rub rail? Take the screws out and put in some rivets and seal 'em up with some silicone.

PS 3
I asked my son what he wants for Christmas and one of the things he listed was a PS3, the kind that he can also play his PS2 games. I'd like to start looking around for one but I'm not real sure exactly what I'm looking for and of course, I'd like to get the best bang for my buck. (Controllers included, maybe games included, etc...) I see they have a Slim PS3 and consoles with different MB's and such. Any suggestions on which console to get? Any good deals online? Thanks in advance for the help.

Vick to Raiders
When I first saw the title of this thread I actually got a little excited. Too bad it isnt true, the Raiders need Vick in a bad way. And a big than you to the Redskins for letting us have Jason Campbell. Just kidding. Please take him back....he's terrible.

I nose hook any bait that has a tail action. Only things I wacky rig are senkos and finesse/trick worms.

Liberty Reservoir?
In that case, look for baitfish flipping around on top or look for birds hanging around in a certain area. A large group of birds in an area is a good sign. Check out your map and find some bassy looking spots that would be desirable for bass this time of year, pick a spot and start there. Since 3 of you will be fishing, I would suggest for all 3 of you to fish something different at different depths until you get bit. Be sure to take some jigging spoons. You can fish jigging spoons at any depth effectively.

Video of the Japanese angler skipping with a baitcaster?
Some of the Jackall product trailers have some video of some Japanese dudes skipping lures.

Liberty Reservoir?
Dropshot or 3/4 oz football jig, assuming the fish are on or near the bottom. Locate the fish first and note the depth they are using, then pick baits. Edit: Almost forgot, find the baitfish!

Rude Anglers
Smith Mountain does have a ton of squibbers. I think it's even worse at night.

Are Length/Slot Limits Still Revelant?
I'm all for C&R but also understand that 100% C&R isn't necessarily a good thing in certain instances. I will always keep a few 'legal' dinks to give to my grandad and will keep giving them to him until he says the freezer is full. C&R is overkill when not used properly.

Which do you think a bass prefers?
I remember a similar study done by the Mo. conservation dept. fisheries division. The results were similar. Apparently the craws fulfill more of the dietary demands of a bass thus they get more nutritional bang for the buck when the eat them. I have heard and read the same thing. However, and I believe this came from the same source, they tend to eat more shad and baitfish simply because of availability. So I chose crawfish as a preference but if the question were, "Which meal does a bass eat the most?," I would have chosen shad/baitfish.

Favorite dropshot bait
Five, what direction are you rigging the X-tail Shad? I've been nose hooking them, flat side up. Nose, flat side down.
