I've started taking a 60 deg bend Owner jig hook and putting a coil on it like my weighted hooks and punching like that. It works a lot better then the standard old worm hooks IMO.

I dont know if this is right or wrong but when I fill a spool of flouro I hold the spool upside down and let whatever wants to fall of fall off. Then I put it on the rod and fish it. This has worked good for me.

I started making them not too long ago. I got tired of throwing spinnerbaits I did not like or that fell apart so I started building them again how I wanted them.

When I ran the test over the weekend for G3Steve. I did reproduce his issue. I lost a monster fish on heay braid and a xhvy rod 7'3" . I lost 2 fish total on this trial. Then I switched to a lighter heavy rod and 15 lb flouro. I caught 11 fish in 3 hrs without a miss. Same exact jig. I did not modify my fishing technique. I was fishing 30yds or closer. G3Steve and I are looking into a modification to the jig for this superline heavy rod fishing style.

My favorite is my Big O series. Its a fish catching machine. If you are fishig heavy grass I also ofer punch rigs and grass jigs.

here are the densities (kg/m3) approximates. Steel 7850 Brass - rolled and drawn 8730 Lead 11340 Tungsten 19600 I'd stick with lead if you don't want to go with tungsten unless the Lead(toxic) worries you.

Deer is my favorite and what I put the most time into. I'll small game hunt and turkey hunt once in awhile.
