so, it's really not a swim bait?....I tried them out yesterday. I fished it with no weight and really think my presentation was just wrong.

yeah gotem today the guy told me the swimbaits just came out.

Has anyone used this swim bait before?

1. What I'd would try is a plastic worm or lizard. I would try the lizard 1st. though. Work your rig to the bed like if it was looking for something to eat on bottom. Sometimes the bass will grab it just to move it. I've done this several times but I'm sure there is a better way. 2. I'm not sure.

Thanks!...but none of those fish look like the one I'm talking about. These fish is a little more slender and almost looks like it has a up side down pyramids on backs....someone told me it was a northern perch...but I'm gonna get one of these swimbaits...they look very real. Wow...Bill is a legend!..I'm sure everyone can remember when they were young and watching him early on Sat. mornings. Seems like the guy was always laughing and having fun. Oh, and Steven S. is the real deal. He's not like Van Dam or some of these other action stars...the guy has the respect in the martial arts world....He has won countless matches and some cage matches before there where cage matches. I still kick his butt though! ;D

There are some perch in the lake I fish in. Can perch play a role in Bass fishing?

I hope it want be to cold...I went and got the things you guys suggested and actually feel confident...but I know it takes practice but maybe with a little beginners luck..... P.S. I've fished all my life and I've learned alot of stuff on my own. This forum has confirm alot of my techniques. Also my fish count from the passed weekend has doubled from the new things I've learned from this forum! It's almost like cheating!

The spot I Fish is blocked of by a bridge...you have to get boat under very carefully when at fool pool...anyway It's about 15 acres of water with 2 creeks on each end. It has everything from grass to trees and lillies. I've only seen 2 boats back there in the past 8 years. I've caught alot of nice quality fish and believe I could place high in a tourney...which I'm gonna enter in May!

I have alot of this growing in the woods behind my house. I've cut a few down a couple of weeks ago and leafs are gone but It leaves a great skeleton. I'm gonna sink alot of them in lake...just wondering has anyone tried this with bamboo before?

I hit a slump kinda like that last summer but not as long. I started keeping track of water temp. and the lures I would use and the time of day. You would be suprise how this really helps your fishing. Also you posted you fish alot of shallow...how about a little bit deeper. I've always tried to fish shallows morning and evening. Anyway there are people on this board that are way more advanced than I am. Just wanted to respond with my opinion. I've notice when someone post there are alot of views but no opinions....

Fished some lights last night using a shad-rap and caught alot of hybrids. I was wondering by there being so many hybrids were the bass ran off? or was I just using wrong bait?....I usually catch bass at night with shad-rap...is there another bait to try that the hybrids wouldnt go after but the bass will at night?

bout to go fishing in a hour....never really used a rat-L-trap....when is the best time to use them?

hey everyone!...new here and I really enjoy all the info. on here...I went yesterday after rain and it was very windy (lake martin). Threw a trick worm missed one but my bud caught 2....I switch to spinnerbait and started having some fun....I always thought to use spinnerbait on windy days, I've had great luck with it.
