Fishing lake Oliver tomorrow in georgia. I was wondering after this snow and cold weather could I still fish the docks?Water is real muddy so I was thinking about pitching a jig.

What about pier lights?.......I mean everyone fishes them and it is really hard to catch fish off them.

Believe it or not....I was fishing grass yesterday evening, caught 2 small bass on junebug carolina rig and changed to a shallow crankbait and nothing. Went to spinner bait also nothing. Even threw ol'faithful sammy. Went back to junebug and started catching more fish. Your post on fishing grass confirmed I just might be on right track.

Welcome!!....I bank fish alot. I wade also, sometimes without wadders. If you cant get to the pads or somehow behind them from bank try other spots like points,creek channels, submerge trees. As far as frogs go....I got the Rage-Tail and I've only used once and it was mid-day just throwing to see what it would look like.

I use the sammy chartuse (if that's spelled right)......catch alot of fish on points. Always walk without pause on first few casts......then I twitch 2 times reel slack in and do over. The twitch twice with pause seem to produce more fish. I fish on Lake Martin and water is pretty clear for the most part.....this method I use works with wind and no wind.....so find a point and give it a try......BUT WATCH OUT FOR STRIPE!

My bud and I went fishing earlier today and didn't even get a bite!.....Also Wal-Mart had somekind of tourney today....alot of pressure from pro's! Bought Shade rage tails this morning but didn't know how to rig.....I thought I did! Came home and found the topic on here about the Rage Tail Baits......seen how the tails were rigged and fished, went back out and WHAM!!!.......it was a whole nother ball game!!.....Caught alot of fish....off points and ecspecially grass! Thanks for the great info.....I believe it was just something the fish haven't seen and couldn't resist.

Has anyone used this lure?...I believe it's a Mann product.

It could've very well been a hybrid....caught a couple the day before (small ones). BassnBret might try your technique....I had 12lb. line but I'll try your rig next time.

Fish under alot of tree's if you can.....spinnerbait or buzzbait is good. Alot of tasty things get knocked off by rain and fish sit under and just wait.

Yeah that sucks....Have you contacted the Game Warden?......I'm sure he would have a idea.....if not, tell him what you've seen and might raise his eyebrow. Could start a little investigation and put a boot in someone's a**!
