$10 an hour is a great pay for being 18 and I would say keep that job. I am 19 and got a job working 40 hours a week for my county forest preserve this summer. I have been enjoying the job but working a lot will help pay for college and hopefully will help me get a car (if I want to get one). Jobs are hard to come by right now so consider yourself lucky you have a good job, I know I do.

Coming into finals week next week. I am done with classes but have 3 finals next week. Luckily my finals are spaced out enough that I wont be a mindless zombie just a zombie.

I have the Cabelas EVX Gore-tex as well. Its a great suit for the money. Has kept me dry in rain, wind and spray.

I dont fish jerkbaits all that much but the few that I do use are X-Raps and Husky Jerks. Haven't really tried anything else.

I would say I love winter fishing. When the lakes ice up I bring out the short rods and auger. Winter time is ice fishing time.

I use the sickle octopus hooks for wacky rigging. They are crazy sharp thats for sure. I have also used 2/0-4/0 trebles on trolling spoons for salmon and they held up. Step on one and its over. Never broke one on a fish but have had them bend on fish.

I use a 7ft MH Shimano Crucial to throw 1/4-1/2oz footballs and love it. I think that it throws 3/8oz and 1/2oz footballs the best but does a pretty good job with the 1/4oz jigs as well.

I like the Spro frogs and Tru-Tungsten Mad Maxx for hollow bodied frogs. For soft plastic frogs I like Zoom Horny Toads.

I was using a Bobby's Perfect Frog a couple days ago and noticed I lost the weight in the frog. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before or see it happen? Is there anyway to get a new weight or replace it with something else?

I prefer full grip over split grip. It just felt awkward to cast 2 handed with the split grip to me. The only split grip rod I own is my drop shot spinning rod. I would say it does affect the rods I purchased because I prefer the look and feel of full grip.
