  1. Success in fishing is consistency
  2. That's one I surely want, I have the LMB edition and it is good.
  3. My first boat was a Tracker TX17 with a 45HP Merc. Great boat thatI picked up for a song. I would definately get another and now that they have that revolution hull, they look even better.
  4. Your lucky, most boats I've owned or have been on do not have working Tach's.
  5. I was going through my bookcase and pulled out a few favorites: Finesse Fishing-Michael Jones Serious Bass Fishing- Troy/Mike Folkstad Small Stream Bass-Tim Holshlag got any good ones?
  6. Gambler Florida rig weights??? Excellent concept. Unfortunately I heard that they are being discontinued very shortly.
  7. Deadly, deadly method! I am a big time jig guy and I swim it a ton, especially when bass are very active in the summer.
  8. Some guys just seem more honest than others. Would you buy anything that Rolo was hawking? After the Helicopter lure debacle, I doubt it!
  9. Can I pull out a 9MM and surprise whoever is going to kill me if I don't catch a fish?
  10. I used to fish shiners in Florida, after a day of fishing, I'd see that bobber floating through my eyelids as I lay in bed at night.

If I can pick 5.....California+spots, Mo.+Spots, Tenn and Kentucky+Spots............Florida get #5 despite not having Smallies, it does have spots, suwannees, shoal bass and gotta love them sunshine bass. I think states like NY, Georgia and Virginia have good fisheries as well. There are a ton. But #1....likely California.
  12. Powerbait isn't bad. I think any scented bait is good at allowing fish to hold on a little longer. Don't be fooled though, the scent does not attract fish as ads claim.
  13. I'll tell you guys, a few years ago I was planning on moving to MO, my family has since settled on Florida. I was there in '02 in October and destroyed the bass on Stockton Res. and a few smaller ponds. Beautiful state. I was in Buffalo and I love Lambert's!!
  14. I hold little stock in what a paid pro is telling me I should buy and fish. They are obviously motivated to do so. Instead I rely on what I've been using all along and sometimes experiment. I make most of my own lures.
  15. I like to fish a bunch of small waters for bass. I'd rather have the water to myslef so I go out of my way to find them.
  16. They are making paste scents for crankbaits. Now I know these are reaction type baits but do you think that the taste or scent would make a bass hang on any longer to a hard bait?
  17. Disagree with the worm being the best lunker bait. I'll go with a 1/2oz jig n pig anytime over even a large worm. I'm not saying you won't catch big fish with it but I know every bite I get will be a good fish on the jig.
  18. The good thing is you know there are larger fish present, go with larger baits here.
  19. I use scent in all of my hand poured baits that I make for bait retention!
  20. I wrote an article on light line drop shot fishing that should appear on this site soon.
  21. I don't have too much problem with twist but make sure you rig the bait so if doesn't spin.
  22. I am brand biased! Reel: Shimano Sustain, Antares and Scorpion Rod: Kistler Helium Line:Yo Zuri Hybrid, Sea King Ultra, Berkely Vanish Hooks: Gammie Split Shot Hooks and Owner EWG's Soft Plastics, Jigs, Spinner Baits, hair jigs and Tubes: I make my own and don't fish anyone else's. Cranks: Bagley's Honey B, Killr B1 and Arbogast Mudbugs
  23. They are two totally different ball games.
