Reel settings for pitching?
I was just curious to see how you set up your reel for flipping. I use a Curado for flipping and it seems I'm not getting enough distance.

What is your favorite crankbait pattern?
I know it will be different depending on where you fish and the forage on your lakes, but if you had to choose one pattern what would it be. It can be two or three if you choose. I would have to go with some type of chrome pattern.

Favorite shaky head plastics?
I've caught them everywhere with a Yum Houdini Worm in Green Pumpkin in both the 4.75" and the 6" version. The other day I had a lot of success with the Pro Senko.

Here are a few paint jobs.
No, I'm still using devcon but that is just till I can get another airbrush to use to spray on the clear coat. I really want to use a spray on but I dont want to ruin the airbrush I have right now.

D2T Drying Question
I coated some at 11 last night and at 7 this morning they were still a little sticky but not bad. I usually give it 12 hours and add another coat or paint over it. But allow a full 24 to fish it.

Devcon vs glass resin
What exactly are you using? Does it give you a glossy coat? And how long does it take to cure?

Second try at painting.
Just some 3D flexible eyes. I think I got them from cabelas.

Couple Devcon questions.
How long do you guys usually wait to paint over the 2 Ton?

Couple Devcon questions.
Well forget the 5 min stuff. Tried it and it gave me no time to work with. Ruined my lure.

Couple Devcon questions.
First off I see that some people use the 5 min to coat during the paint process and then use the 2 Ton as the last coat to seal it. Is this method ok? If so that would take off a lot of waiting time for me. Is there any bad affect from using the 5 min epoxy, like yellowing? Also, how long do you usually wait to paint over the epoxy? For both the 2 Ton and 5 min stuff?

Second try at painting.
Same design, different lure which made it a little harder. The clear coat was tough because of the joints. The pieces would touch each other and mess the paint job up. But I still think it looks pretty good. Going to get some more paint to try a few more patterns now.

My first try at painting lures.
This pic may be a little better.

I'll get a better pic by tonight.

My first try at painting lures.
So there's my first try at airbrushing. I would call it a success, didn't have to start over, ran into a few problems but it went well. I guess it was easy though since it was a basic gizzard shad pattern. Used three colors; black, white, and an aqua blue shimmer that you can barely see in this phone pic. Looks a little better in the sun. Please feel free to critique. I need to get better.

Where to get paint fast?
Does acetone work to thin that stuff? Also do you really think there is a difference in using high dollar paint like HOK and other paints other than the color? I mean say I found a color that I like in some cheap stuff and used it. Isn't it really more about the clear coat? That's my impression so far.

Where to get paint fast?
I know where to get airbrush paint online but where can I get stuff fast when I need it. Like what stores carry paint that I can use to airbrush lures? I use HOK paint but the paints don't have to be that good at the stores. I just want something I can get quick when I need it. Besides hobby stores, don't have any near by. Thanks

Where to fish New River?
How exactly do you get there? Off of Prices Fork you take Tucker Rd that leads to McCoy Road, rigth? Then what, just follow that to the falls? Will I see parking down there? Thanks

Where to fish New River?
I just moved up to Blacksburg and I'm looking for some close places to fish New River. I have fished below Claytor Lake my whole life so I don't know much about above it. I have been going to it via Spruce Run Road the last few weeks and I'm catching a lot but not much size. Thanks
