November Bronze ~ Video Added
I was excited on this trip as you'll see in these fairly "raw" videos. A-Jay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KgN097Wmmo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y0Eh95JBY0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYeLeTIhI8s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A73ysDYBtc

Boat Crash
That is a classic display of Negligent Operating on the part of Both vessel Operators. In general terms Negligent and Reckless Operation of a Vessel is operating a vessel in disregard of careful and prudent operation, or in disregard of careful and prudent rates of speed that are no greater than is reasonable and proper under the conditions existing at the point of operation, taking into account the amount and character of traffic, size of the lake or body of water, freedom from obstruction to view ahead, effects of vessel wake, and so as not to unduly or unreasonably endanger life, limb, property or other rights of any person entitled to the use of such waters. In other places it's defined as Operating at speeds that are not reasonable and prudent based on boating traffic, weather conditions, visibility, or other potential hazards. If no limits are posted, you should operate a vessel so that it does not endanger others and so that it can be stopped safely. As mentioned, this is common practice. There is really only one way to travel these areas safely & legally and that's to slow down. Clearly a tall order during a tournament where time is money. However, the alterative could be serious bodily injury, and or Jail Time. Be Safe & Smart out there. A-Jay

Strike King 10 Xd
We'll be fishing the 10xd in a couple of days down on Lake Baccarac in Mexico. There are some real brutes there who we're hoping will chew these baits up good. I'm throwing it on a St Croix Tidemaster Inshore Travel Casting Rods 7-6 heavy, A Calcutta 200D, and 20 lb Big Game. http://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-tis76hf3-tidemaster-inshore-casting-travel-rod.html Any decent results will be posted. November Bronze ~ Video Added
Went out today after cleaning up the last of the leaves in the back forty. With my bags packed for Mexico, I grabbed a few baits and a couple of rods and hit one of my favorite smallmouth factories. Started out sunny and almost 50 degrees (A/T) but as the afternoon wore on, a bit of a breeze came up and a few clouds moved in. It got a little cooler. Water temps were right at 45 which is just about right for the fatties I was after. A swim bait on a jig head worked up and down a few drop offs usually gets bit here. Had exactly two hits; hooked, fought and landed them both. I was very happy. A couple of very respectable Bronzebacks and I do mean bronze. Almost twins, both were just short of 20 inches, healthy, fat and gave a great account of themselves. Photo & Release; it was a good and most likely my last day of this season. If it is, that's a very satisfying way to end it. A-Jay

My Training is going well. I'm doing this old school program call Longevity. Perhaps you're heard of it. It consists of smart, safe resistance training, combined with moderate cardio, Plenty of off days, Good Nutrition, and I do it consistently for my entire life. Seems to work. A-Jay

My Pfd Testimonial.
Glad you & your friend made it home safe. Though your story did not end in loss of live - it very well could have and often does. Dead men can't tell their story so it's very important that you tell yours. The acronym for Personal Flotation Device- PFD, has all but replaced the items real name - Life Jacket - and yours certainly was that on this day. After almost 30 years of Search & Rescue, I've had a front row seat for many of these stories, both good and bad. The one thing I'll pass on is this - I've Never taken a Life Jacket off a Dead Man. Stay Safe. A-Jay

Congrats ~ Cycling is a solid way to get and stay in shape. Not the best tool for everyone however. There is a decent amount of self-disciple required to really get the true benefits. I've heard many an enthusiast complain that though they ride for X number of miles, they just don't see results. Two Words - Heart Monitor. You probably know this and already have / use one. As a side note - you can get a great bike workout Indoors (although the view doesn't change) with a Cyclops Bike Trainer. I've been using the same one for I think over 10 years. No worries about vehicles, dogs or the weather. Just crank up the music, put your head down and pedal your $%^ off. Heart monitor here is a must too. I have the Mag Trainer without Adjuster model - it's all I need and it kicks my Butt ! http://www.cycleops.com/en/products/trainers.html Hope this helps btw - padded bike shorts are your friend A-Jay- Halloween Bassing
Nice Job - Congrats. A-Jay- Wire Leaders
Check out Cortland Toothy Critter ~ It's a Tie-Able Stainless Steel Leader Material supple enough for tying but tough enough for even the most razor sharp teeth. As a knot friendly leader routinely used by fly fisherman, it works well. A-Jay- In Pursuit Of Giant Bass ~ One Man's Journey
Thanks for the sympathy & the Info. The few sand bottom lakes in this are usually are very good smb, walleye & trout waters. Not a bad thing really but somewhat counter productive to my goals here. The MI DNR just recently updated the lake maps on line. So I'll be checking them out for new intel. A-Jay- Any Baseball Fans?
You Know, You're Completely Right - My previous statement about them not showing up was out of line. The 2013 St Louis Cardinals are a great Team & Organization that played the Game the Right Way. Throughout the entire series, I just kept waiting for them to explode. A-Jay- Heading Back To The Promise Land
That's a decent start to The Bag of a Life Time ! A-Jay- In Pursuit Of Giant Bass ~ One Man's Journey
For the purposes of this project, the largest fish I landed was this one that took a Hudd. Funny thing is, the few times I was able to get out for some mid and late summer night time spinner bait fishing, the numbers & quality of fish was much better. A-Jay- Awesome Facebook Pic!
Cool ~ That back round looks a lot like Lake Baccarac in the spring. A-Jay- Heading Back To The Promise Land
Thank you Stitch - Judging by most of our Local fishing reports, ALL Three of us Really need this one - BAD ! We'll save a few for you, that's what friends are for . . . . A-Jay - I Got Fat!
