  4. Truth ~ And I didn't stop there ~ There's the shirt, pants & matching footwear as well. Rocking the complete ensemble. Thanks for noticing. I'm flattered . . . . I guess. A-Jay
  5. ********Latest Word ~ ********** No Fishing Tomorrow ! MLF has postponed Championship Day until Friday. Weather's just not cooperating. See you Friday . . . . A-Jay
  6. And just like that ~ this one's in the books. Congrats to all the anglers who needed to endure some fairly brutal conditions. But it was the Top 8 who did all that plus managed to stay ahead of what was a pretty stacked line up. 1st Alton Jones Jr. 52 - 03 (12) 5 - 12 5 - 06 2nd Dakota Ebare 48 - 11 (12) 8 - 15 4 - 15 3rd Zack Birge 44 - 07 (9) 7 - 08 5 - 12 4th Casey Ashley 43 - 08 (10) 6 - 14 6 - 10 5th Justin Lucas 37 - 11 (8) 7 - 15 2 - 02 6th Cole Floyd 35 - 02 (8) 6 - 02 2 - 10 7th Jonathon VanDam 29 - 04 (6) 8 - 05 7 - 04 8th Jeff Sprague 28 - 04 (7) 9 - 02 2 - 01 Not sure what tomorrow will bring but it will be, no doubt, entertaining. Jacob Wheeler & Alton Jones should be very rested A-Jay
  7. If I can safely fish in it, I will almost always choose the wind. Results dictate. https://youtu.be/s5YAlFDZ_C4?t=991 A-Jay
  8. Thanks for looking out, I appreciate it. These mutants haunt my nights all winter long ! btw - that green bass ate a swimbait right under the boat. #tugofwar A-Jay
  9. Here's my version ~ Line choice (type/size) for jigs (and TX rigged Plastics) besides being driven by the type & amount of cover, is also determined by the HOOK I plan on sinking into a big bass. If 12 & 14 lb FC works right there than you should be good. I would probably be going at least 17 - 20, maybe even 22 lb. Finally, I prefer braid for soft cover (weeks & pads), and FC for hard cover, (wood, rocks & some docks). Good Luck A-Jay
  10. I get it ~ But more weather's coming in and these guys all have to trailer their rigs. Asking them to deal with Ice on the road & especially the boat ramps, is unnecessarily dangerous IMO. #notworthalife Hope they can safely fish tomorrow A-Jay
  11. MLF, out of an abundance of caution, safety & common sense, This Knockout round has officially been shortened to just TWO Periods. So no period THREE in this one. Anglers will find out about this at the first break, 10 minutes from now. Make fish caught so far even bigger and ones not, perhaps even more elusive. Guys above the Toro Cut Line probably welcome it. A-Jay
  12. We're getting the below zero wind chill here too - I can totally understand this sentiment. But if I can manage to hang in there, just a little bit longer . . . . the reward can be significant . . . . A-Jay
  13. DC with a DD Bass _ Oh MY ! A-Jay
  14. You can probably spot mine ~ A-Jay
  15. Called It ! T Biffle with a 6-12 to start the day . . . A-Jay
  16. Knockout Round ~ Here we go I am rooting for my man Tommy Biffle who by the way, has be selected to be in the Bass Fishing HoF 2022 Induction Class. Congrats to him. Well Deserved. Bet no one throws a whopper plopper all day in this one A-Jay
  17. I noted that I have no interest in fishing another mans fish. So the Catching doesn't come into play. A-Jay
  18. Tomorrow Knockout Round forecast ~ Cloudy with occasional showers for the afternoon. Thunder possible. High 37F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%. Championship Round looks pretty sporty as well . . . Cloudy. Some light rain is likely. Thunder possible. Temps nearly steady in the mid to upper 30s. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Hope they fish both days . . . . A-Jay
  19. And just like that ~ It's Over. Get some sleep guys, and bundle up for tomorrow. Gonna be a wild one ! A-Jay
  20. I have to admit these guys actually got more & bigger bass today that I expected. With just under an hour to go for Group B the top 15 slots are filled and look pretty safe. But 5 or so spots on either side of that Toro Cut Line could see some fireworks. Couple a scoreable bass or even another tank or two could really shake things up. A-Jay
  21. LOL ~ I like that Term ! You're probably gonna see that one again . . . . #stealing A-Jay
  22. Thanks ~ I expect to. At least until open water. After that, the home gym tends to get a little lonely. A-Jay
  23. Isn't there like 200 miles between them ? That can make a world of difference up this way. Like 10 feet of snow type difference. A-Jay
