Hate PWC's? Well, this might change your mind.
Interesting - btw - while I may have noted my disdain for these watercraft in the past, truth is it's not the machine itself but the human's who are thumbing the throttle and the decisions they make while doing it. A-Jay

Trailer jack wheel stop
You're Welcome and I'm glad it worked out for you. Stupid easy to roll - so much better. Interesting that it comes with a nut & bolts now. I'd be very concerned with durability if the unit was left on and rattling all over the place on the road. Suppose a stretch cord or a strap of some kind could control that. Either way ~ Enjoy. A-Jay

Fall topwater versus spring versus summer topwater
Here in northern MI, the vast majority of my topwater fishing occurs in the late summer and into fall. Not that earlier in the year I don't get bit on topwater, just that other presentations seem to produce more / bigger fish for me. But late August right into October, the smallies I'm looking to put in the net are usually shallow and aggressively hungry making surface presentations a good choice. I prefer walking baits and / or poppers most times. Like much of late season bassing, baits that present a bigger proflie seem to attract the more stout fish for me. As for specific baits, the follow walkers & poppers have all produced for me in the recent past - SK Sexy Dawg, Duo Realis Pelcil 110, Megabass Dog-X Diamante, Reaction Innovations Vixen, River2Sea Pro Tuned Rover, Yellow Magic Japanese Popper, Megabass Pop Max, & Lucky Craft Gunfish. Breaking Rods, How many per year do you?
When it comes to standard one piece bass rods, I think I may have broken 1 stick in 10 years. However, if we chose to include 3 piece travel rods in this discussion, well then I am a rod snapping fool ! Past few years I've blown up 5 of my own and 1 of my buddies; all on hook sets south of the border. I've since transitioned to a different line of travel sticks so thankfully, the carnage has stopped. A-Jay

preventing cabin fever
Yes ~ The great way I've found to ward off cabin fever is to shop for a new boat . . . Just say'in. A-Jay

Chatterbait (bladed jig)
Good for me so far - I'm fishing them mostly over sand & or soft bottom (Muck). So no rocks, docks or hard cover. Also try a 4-5 inch swim senko trailer (rigged up - side - down) A-Jay

Our latest Foster ~ Rylee
Right back at ya @B-Dozer It's always a very busy event - but it's hard to call it work. Especially when the reward is what it is. Perhaps different for each of us but still, just so good. And I have to give credit where credit is due. While I really enjoy the whole deal, my wife has 'whatever it is' that so often works wonders on dogs with trust issues. So often a giant hurdle, it's one that she seems to be able to find a way over more often than not. It's always an honor & a pleasure to be part of the transformation. Can take a long while to earn their trust & respect and one instant to lose them. And we certainly can't buy it. A-Jay
