  1. I love the great outdoors. I love being in beautiful natural surroundings. It energizes me. It reawakens me to being alive and strong. It gives me a sense of connectedness and vitality. I feel better right now just thinking about it even though I am sitting in front of a PC. I believe we have a responsibility to be good stewards over nature. We also need to set the example of stewardship for our children. Arrogance and ignorance should not go unrewarded, so by calling our local regulating authority, we’re doing our part. A-Jay

  8. For me, it's all about being "Balanced"; My personal Life & My Fishing. If I am casting & gritting my teeth, I might as well go home. Over the years I've learned that I can fish with intensity while still being Relaxed. Also, I don't fish competitively so I can not speak as to what works in that area and what does not. I'd think it would be different for each competitor. In the end, seems like the challenge is what's in the live well. Doesn't it end there ? A-Jay
  9. Sounds like Alcohol was a factor or "Mr. Landowner" may have been off his meds again . . . Either way - pretty Bizarre. A-Jay

  16. I fish a few places that are small, deep, & have very clear water. Many are designated as "Trout" lakes and some are even stocked. The absence of much vegetation, very few abrupt depth changes (drop offs) and a fairly clean bottom make chasing the local bass population in them challenging. (mostly SMB btw) The bottom composition in each is comprised on mud, sand and a few rocky or harder type areas. The transitions from mud to sand can be good, as is just about all of the hard bottom area. These seem to change with the seasons especially during late pre-spawn & spawn time when nesting is the plan of the day and depth certainly plays a role. So don't be afraid to look for bottom changes, if the water is clear enough you can see them. Areas around humps & small islands can be productive too. Good Luck A-Jay
  17. Rhonda dropped a Right handed Jack Hammer on Bethe ~ Impressive. A-Jay
  18. Don't really have a way of knowing the exact temps J but the fish routinely feel quite a bit cooler than the surface temp which generally bounce around 70. And the waters not that deep so it's not like I pulling them up from way down there. A-Jay
  19. That's a Fat Cat ! Congrats A-Jay

  22. People can say whatever they want - Even You And since the only ones that actually know the truth aren't taking - there is little to no basis for a factual response. Either way, as a fan of the team, I hope he plays & more importantly - WINS ! A-Jay
  23. I'm a fairly rapid Boston sports fan so I know it's impossible for me to offer an unbiased viewpoint regarding the entire deal. However, using the words Truth & Probably in the same sentence is a pretty good example of the point made above regarding how the media has shaped the perspective of those who follow it either faithfully or when it suits their style. A-Jay
  24. I will always believe the truth is the truth and that's where it lies. And only a super small population will ever actually know what that is - I also believe that where the "media" is concerned, there is a lot of "Mis-Remembering" with little regard to finding or reporting the Truth. Media has proven over time that Headlines feed the family, the truth has very little to do with it. I stopped expecting to find the truth in the media a long, long time ago - it's simply another from of Entertainment. Like the Weather Forecast. A-Jay
  25. I've read that one Too. Crazy. If this situation has taught me anything - it's just how strongly influenced the public will be by the manner in which information is delivered by today's media. All Media. Opinions are formed, choices & decisions are made as quickly as ANY information is made available; Right, Wrong or indifferent. There was a saying my grandfather used 50 years ago that went " you can't believe everything you read". And he was referencing The ONE local, 10 page newspaper. Some things don't change. A-Jay
