Inanimate Objects You've Caught
You better believe it ! Of course, I'll need to add some rod guides first as the originals seem to have rotted off. I think it would fish better with the guides. Can't wait to heave a Huddleston . . . A-Jay

Blade Bait Mods
You're a brave man going with that single hook set up. Don't know if I could commit to that one. Be very interested in your results with the smallies though . . . . A-Jay

Muddy/stained Water. Green Pumpkin?
I don't fish a ton of stained or even colored water, but the few times I do, dipping the tail & / or appendages in chartreuse colored Spike It Dip-N-Glo Worm Dye seems to help. And though I have no idea how Garlic ever made it into bass scent / attractant - I'm glad it did. A-Jay

Missed Hits On Frogs
If you have had success with your frog fishing (day or night) and during one particular outing the fish aren't getting the bait, I wouldn't be too concern. If the right size fish actually intends to eat your bait (which is what you need to hook the bass) regardless of how you happen to be working it, there is No Doubt she'll get it and there's nothing you can do to stop it. I just have to remember this video - a perfect example of what I'm referring too. Since a bass can to this - there is little doubt she can take your bait on a stop & go retrieve. A-Jay

Braid Line Keeps On Breaking??
What happens when you hook a Bass ? If your line is parting when the strike is by a fish with teeth and NOT during a strike by a fish which has substantially less teeth - then there is at least a decent chance you'll need to use a wire leader of some kind or you can expect more of the same. If your line is parting regardless of the fish type - then there's at least the same chance it's your knot. Another possibility (already mentioned above) is your line may be a little too light; especially if your using fairly stout casting gear and performing the all too famous - "Full Blown, Total Body, Coming out of my Shoes, Lets Break her face Off" - hook set. Buying My First Fiberglass Bass Boat Tomorrow
Have not heard of too many successful 38 year old Bass Boat re-builds. OK None. You must have plenty of disposable income, are very experienced & confident in your hull & transom repair skills, and really want this boat. Good Luck, you're going to need it. A-Jay

Ever Wonder What Fish Think Of Our Lures?
I'm pretty sure that I've heard the Bass snickering as my bait passes a likely looking spot. It's faint but it's distinct. And I don't like that one bit. A-Jay

Huddleston 68 Special Weedless For Smallies!?
One of my favorite fall big smallies baits is a 5 inch Berkley Powerbait Hollow Belly Swimbait on a jighead - weight depends on depth but 1/2 oz is a common weight used. So, I know they'll eat a swinbait, just not sure about a Hudd 68 - especially the weedless model. A-Jay

If You Could Only Have One Bait For The Rest Of Your Life???
Thanks guys and Yes I do use the BOSS Punch Hub - makes the whole deal very versatile. As for the bait - well that's a 5 inch Berkley Power Bait Beast - and unfortunately it's Very Discontinued. You can still pick some up on Ebay occasionally. The beauty of that trailer is this - if you choose to use a lighter weight , say 1/2 or less, because of the trailers width - the bait will perform a very attractive "Glide" on a slack or semi-slack line. During certain times, the subtle action appendages & the glide are killer. Of course the whole deal is extremely effective with a the craw of your choice as well. There are a few current baits on the market that have a similar profile and do a decent job gliding; but having "ribs" on the bait's body running parallel to the hook seems to make a difference. I managed to stock pile a career supply over the years and so I'm pretty well set. A-Jay

Huddleston 68 Special Weedless For Smallies!?
I throw the 68 a fair amount for largemouth but not so much for smallies. Never caught a smalliie in the 7 pound class though either, actually have never seen one in person. I'd be very interested in your results for big brown bass with that bait. Please keeps us informed and do post pictures. Good Luck A-Jay
