  1. I know that Kistler rods are not well received on this forum but I have three of them and would not trade them for any thing. My St. Croix BLT's don't even come close . JMHO
  2. Thanks Reel Mechanic would hate to screw up a nice reel, Question why no oil on the shaft?
  3. Hey Burley how is the unmap look will it show contours and depths ? I really don,t fish a lot of big water or travel far from home to fish and most of the lakes in jersey are small so I really don't have a need for the navionics chip or do I just bit the bullet and go for the other 100 bucks I don't know any one who has it so I can check it out and if I,m never going to use it I can not see buying it just because it looks good. I could put the money on a nice St. Croix I'm sure the bait monkey will find so thing to spend it on. Thanks for taking the time to answer. Mike (aka Walking Horse )
  4. I have a question about removing the spool on my Chronarch Mg 51 . I have two Curado 201 E7 and all I have to do is open the door and tip the reel upside down and the spool just falls out into my hands. Now on the Mg 51 the spool don,t just fall out and I do not want to force or pry on it not knowing the inner working of the reel. So if anyone has experience in working on reels could help it would be appreciated greatly. I would like to put a drop of oil on the shaft and bearing. THANKS

  10. St.Croix Avid 6' / Mg51 10lb. Hybrid never had an issue may be bad spool of line sorry to hear about losing your LC lures that sucks
  11. Sounds like a good deal to me for 11bucks you can't go wrong. Sending it back to St. Croix will cost you more then that.
  12. Never broke one so far I hope I don't screw myself by saying that.
  13. Check to see if the chargers output voltage is higher then 14.6volts on start up then it should drop to about 13.3volts in maintenance mode. If the voltage is to high the batteries will boil the water out all so check the batteries with a hydrometer to make sure they are still good after over charging you may have damaged the plates. Good Luck
  14. 8 gauge minimum 6 gauge would be ideal. do not use the 12 gauge. 2X
