I only use them on C-rigs as well. When I was a kid I used them for everything until I decided to stick with tieing knots. I don't like using swivels for the simple reasom that it is so easy to switch out lure that way however if you do not pay enough attention your knot will easily become more and more weak.

  9. For a lot of good help with your senko needs check this out it is a very informative thread! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1121527643 If the water is not clear I like to throw a green pumpkin/chartruese color... made by *** I rig it Texas stlye and use a very small weight in a lake/pond. I fish it just like a jig slowly moving it along the bottom. Good Luck to You!!!!

  16. I just bought some swim baits from mattlures and I will be trying them out tommorow hopefully they will work well for me.
  17. I know one inch usually doesn't make to much of a difference but I like to use the 5" senkos. Like Marsh Master stated we do need more information on what color lure, what area and color/type of water you are fishing. All these factors plus many more will dictate how these lures perform. -Nitro
  18. It all depends on what body of water you are on. I have caught shad that are fairly large that weighed about 5-6 lbs. I usually catch them only to bag them up for catfish bait. I am not to sure what to tell you about the shad dying. :-/
  19. That is a very good way to think about it. The way I do it is pretty much the same way, I have a one bass mentality unless I am fishing a tournament... But i still do get skunked.. but not as often. The reason I have started to go by the one bass mentality is because if you go to a body of water with high expectations you will often get dissappointed. However if you go thinking it would be nice to only catch one bass then every bass after the first bass will only be added satisfaction to your trip. I watched Rick Clunn talking about this subject one day while I was watching "BassPros" on Versus. It was a very good philosiphy to live by. -Nitro
  20. ^Must not fish very much... since he only caught 19 LMB this whole year!! ;D ;D ;D
  21. Thank you very much RW. I will add that knot to my list and will give it a try. I had no idea that different knots needed to be used with different types of line. 8-)
