Sometimes if you lift your rod tip to detect a bite the fish will feel that pressure and will let go of the bait. That is why you need to keep you line tight/loose all at the same time it takes ALOT of practice but in the end your larger fish will come from a jig bite. Good Luck!!!
  3. ILL TAKE THEM OFF YOUR HANDS FOR YOU....... : ;D : ;D : X2!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  4. I have not used one yet but I would fish them like a storm finesse minnow. I just hook 'em through the head and have a 1/8oz weight t-rigged and it has a great action!!! JMPO
  5. Thanks for the video, I need to get me some large swim baits too!!!
  6. i would definatley not throw it back. I agree with not wanting to lose the record just a year later. I would be so ticked!!! LOL but I would most definatley try to get some $ from the manufacturer of the bait I was using. Then from the rod and reel company. Hell the more money the better!!! LOL But I would have to think about giving it to BPS instead of mounting it. I'm not sure on that one. I know replica are very expensive! JMPO I hope I don't offend anyone.
  7. Well maybe she wanted a princess pole and not a Zebco 202!!! The fish was on her side here. LOL That sucks but shakey head lures are not that expensive ... HAHA Sorry bout your pole and how your daughter got heart broken. Well besides the heart break did ya'll go catch her some bluegills??? :question
  8. If all we win is a signature.... Screw this game! > HAHAHAHAHAHAHA J/P!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Hell i can't even get a golf ball into those holes HAHAHA
  10. Black lights are always good. to have and for you just use your light on your boat.
  11. I like to fish shallow usually when I am night fishing. I love my topwater so that is mainly why I fish shallower water. Although when the bite isn't so great I have noticed that drop offs and ledges are still a good spot.
  12. Sounds like they are worth it to me!!! ;D
  13. NO!!!!!
  14. It all depends on what you are fishing with. For a senko I like to use a 3/0 to a 4/0 hook. They seem to work the best for me. But i have a big variety of hooks for different baits.
  15. Years and years ago I got sucked into buying the old helicopter lure set.... HAHA What a hunk of junk!!! I got screwed on that deal!!! > ;D ;D ;D ;D
  16. i thought the shrink wrap was for the entire bait sorry.... :-[
  17. I'll go with 6.3 Did I win??

  19. Looks like I need to take a trip to Florida... LOL ;D
  20. Slomoe, That seems to be the responses i have been getting on my PM's too!!! lol
  21. That would be sweet!!! When I was a child my dad took me out fishing and he mainly focused on catfishing but I enjoyed it alot because the fishing may be slow but when you hook into one it is usually a decent sized. My largest catfish was a 38.0lb blue cat when I was 14. So I know if she cacthes a large bass then she will be happy!!!
  22. Well d**n if RW is right I must not be a very good fisherman... hahaha ;D
  23. Most golf courses do not allow fishing.... at least where i live they frown upon it :'(
  24. Clear water.... slow your retrieve down a lot. Try usiong jerkbaits, they are great in clear water. Drop shots are terrific and finesse worms fished extremely slow. Try a crankbait but make sure it doesn't have much rattling to it. That will just scare the fish in clear water. I learned from glenn to glue the rattles in clear water. Good Luck to you!!!
