  1. Slow your presentation down a lot when you are fishing a low water area. Patience is a virtue (can't spell) but take your time if you rush to much you will get mad and give up.... at least that is what I do. haha ;D ;D ;D
  2. This same type of question was asked a few days ago I have attached the link so hopefully you can get your answer. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1216158756/all Good luck to you!!!
  3. X2 you hit the nail right on the head!!!

Nice looking fish and congrats on your day of fishing. BTW are those fish "dead"??? :-/
  5. I went out Yesterday at daybreak I was extremely disappointed with the outcome. I caught one LMB and it only went 1lb. I fished all kinds of lures that I have zero confidence in. I started my day with topwater and suprisingly no luck, then I went to a stick worm, then a rat-l-trap, spinnerbait, and finally I threw a crankbait ( zero confidence) that went about 15' and after an hour throwing it I caught my fish one, so I stuck with it. I got 5 more bites but i beleive I was reeling it too fast. After that I started throwing a jig (zero confidence) with no luck. I then picked up my crank bait again and caught a 7.12 blue catfish. It was a hell of a fight I thought I had a monster bass > > > LOL well I don't know about a full moon anymore :-/
  6. I won't be fishing tonight but i will be going out as soon as daybreaks and hopefully I will have great luck. I don't know how well fishing the morning after a full moon is but hopefully I'll do good. But either way I will let you know how I did.
  7. Welcome to the best site on the net!!!!

    Awesome man!!!
  9. I haven't had much luck with the rage tail toads but I have had terrific luck on the "Ribbit Frogs" I get the at Gander Mountain. One of the best baits so far but I did recently order some of "***" frogs and I can't wait to put them to the test against the Ribbit.
  10. Try jerkbaits the clearer the water the better they work, also you may want to try the red eye shad. The shad has been a big performer for me so far this year!!! Good Luck!!
  11. HAHAHAHA here is a link to what storm can do for you!!! Man what a joke!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  12. X2 there is no way you will be able to keep them alive that long, you will be lucky if they live a week wit an areator. You need to really research what you want to do before you kill all the baitfish.
  13. I was watching the show "The Bass Pros" on versus not to long ago and I would have to disagree with what "FishingJames" said. I can't remember right off hand which one of the pros said it but he said.... "A good fisherman finds what works and sticks with it, but an excellent fisherman finds what works and changes" He said the slightest change to a lure can make all the difference. Well it wasn't but a month ago when I was out with a friend of mine who didn't know that much about bass fishing. Well on this particular lake we ALWAYS catch about 75-100 per day and we were using small 4-6" purple worms. So I decided that we figured out that the bass liked the purple color but I was tired of catching 2lbers. So I changed the bait up a little. I grabbed a Mann's hard nose junebug colored 9" worm. I rigged it with a 1/8oz weight T-Rigged and threw it out. He didn't understand until The bait quit falling and I knew it wasn't at the bottom so I reeled up the slack and crossed the fishes eyes!!!! My buddy was amazed that it worked so well. Well the bass I caught wasn't huge but she went 4lbs. so we ended up upgrading from just a small change. Now he is a believer too!!! Just my 2 cents.
  14. From the look of it I would say it works. I brought a buddy of mine fishing with me about a week ago and pulled out some of the spike-it dip for soft plastics.... I looked at him like he was insane well..... I guess I was the dumb one because he ended up catching more then I did and all he did was change the tail color of the bait. So I can definatley say I learned something from that experience.
  15. I'm not trying to sound like a smart a$$ in any way at all but you should "match the hatch". If there are bluegills in the part you are fishing it should most definatley work, baby bass are everywhere right now so that should also work. As for baby shad you should try that color as well. 8-)
  16. I hope they are on sale where i live... I'll be heading there as soon as I get off work!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!
  17. I find 6 bucks a bag expensive seriously for plastic i know its a new design and such, but dang can't we get a break here? No kidding!!! The ole lady bought killed me when she found out I spent over $55.00 on only 10 bags of the rage tail shad and toads. Hell I'm gonna have to hide my receipts from now on.
  18. Our club rules state that if you have a dead fish in your live well that you may not throw it back in the water but instead bring it back to the weigh-in and give it to the club president. He will eat them. The rules also state that if you happen to have a dead fish that you will not be penalized for the dead fish but you are encouraged to catch another fish to take the place of the dead one. So either way you do not lose anything. 8-)
  19. Now you're gonna complain.... come'on give us dinkmasters a chance lol ;D ;D ;D
  20. Why does fishing have to been so d**n expensive!!!! And people wonder why we loose our minds!!!! HAHAHA
  21. d**n Pigsticker.... You are good ;D, how the hell did you get that when I didn't once mention anything about the trees EVERYWHERE!!! ;D ;D ;D LOL Hell yea I'd like any input you could give me about this lake!!! I have catfished it for years and I have caught big cats out of it but as ya'll know I'm really only big into bass fishing. Hell if you wanna go one night just let me know PM me.
  22. Nice looking spot you have!!!
  23. Nice looking fish and I don't even want to embarass myself in guessing the weight. ;D
