  1. It is a good learning expierence. Let me know how well your interview went.
  2. In many areas being an ACO is a lot more then you think. Here you deal with domestics, fights, DUI, and all sorts of stuff. Plus your regular animal stuff.
  3. Oh man, that totally sucks for you!!! I have a crapper depth finder that shows depth, hardly any fish and never will it pick up any type of structure. Need to get me something.
  4. I don't know how you are setting the hook but the last thing you want to do is as soon as the fish blows up on your bait set the hook. You want to wait until you can actually feel the fish before you try to "cross his eyes". Another way to catch them is by buying weedless hooks and rigging the frog straight on the hook and attaching the wire back to the hook therefore making the frog still weedless but it will help you with your hook-ups. Good luck and have fun, don't get discouraged by the slop that is where they are!!!!
  5. d**n bait monkey!!!! Wife is gonna kill me for sure!!! HAHAHA ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  6. What size did you buy?? I normally buy the 10-12" red shad color and I have never had anything wrong with them.
  7. Thanks Brain for the pointer. I will be heading out today to hit up a local lake and I will post on here how well it did/didn't work for me. But I am going to put a lot of time into it since you say it has been a good producer.
  8. Nice fish!!!!!!
  9. little picture hint... more fish... less you. HAHAHA j/p bud nice fish ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  10. Well first off, I beleive you did right by moving from spot to spot, since you do not know the water. Fish usually do not hang out in the same areas at night as they do during the day. A lot of fish do go deeper and some go to the extreme shallows. But night fishing is one of the best time to catch the big'ens. Hope someone else can help you out more.
  11. I just love seeing how everyone can get along so well. I agree though this is not a site where we disrespect anyone for any reason, yes we may dissagree but we never disrespect. We all like to have a little fun so calm down and be happy there is such a site on the internet to help you with your question. And by the way... you are the one asking questions and if you start out with an attitude many guys on here will not try to help someone who is rude.
  12. Nice fish!!!
  13. Well it sounds like you named the tourney with the appropriate name! ;D ;D ;D But I'm glad to hear all had a good time!!
  14. I think you will be pretty dissapointed. Once the tree dies completely, the leaves will fall off leaving only small twigs for the bass to have cover. Like I stated earlier try to find LARGER wood, the learger the structure the more bass it will hold. But hell try it out and let us know how well it works for you.
  15. I'd like to hit that lake up sometime I've been thinking about going to try it but I still haven't made the move to actually do it. ;D
  16. GREAT LOOKING SMALLIE!!!
  17. I agree they are fun but very stressful if you haven't been on the body of water in a boat before. Hope everything works out!
  18. pm sent memo!
  19. Nice fish and the dang bait monkey will get you everytime if you don't watch out!!! ;D ;D
  20. I have never seen any pike out there but I know for a fact there are alot of gar out there. I have hooked quite a few only to be dissapointed to have my line cut. I'd love to catch them but I was told the only way is to use a heavy leader.
  21. Thats nice ron, really nice bud!!!
  22. I fish topwater all the time, I have never caught a frog... Guess they don't like to eat each other haha ;D
