Whats A Fair Price To Have This Installed ??
The first one I installed was a side imaging and was all intimidated by it. I figured what the heck and went for it. Needless to say it was much easier than had anticipated. Have no fear, you can do it.

Lowrance AND Humminbird at console?
Well I guess that answers my question then. Thanks for the insight. Look for the 330c to be listed in the flea market soon.

Lowrance AND Humminbird at console?
That's what I figured as far as if they were running on the same freq's... However the Side Imaging operates at 455 kHz and the Lowrance operates at 200 kHz... Which makes me believe that this may actually work. Any thought's?

Lowrance AND Humminbird at console?
I am thinking about mounting both a Lowrance LMS-330c and a Humminbird 797 c2i at the console. I personally like the 2D sonar for the Lowrance much better then the Bird. Also I really like the side imaging of the 797. So... Has anyone or does anyone know if these two will interfere with each other with the transducers both being mounted at the transom? Thanks -Jim

Out with the old, in with the new
Our timing was just bad all around w/ everyone. Johnny_Basterd (Steve) and I arrived late Sunday and most of the members were already in bed. Then we were either out fishing or out driving into town making beer runs and missing everyone. That's alright, I really enjoyed the trip anyways (even w/ a blown motor). I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I will be stateside for next year.

Out with the old, in with the new
Yeah sorry about that. As many of you know, I work overseas and do not get much time at home (2-3 months stateside). When the motor blew and the weather wasn't looking favorable on Friday we decided to head back home a day early. I at least got to spend one more day with my wonderful girlfriend before I left again. I hope that next years trip falls on a date that I will be back in the states. It was nice to meet everyone and hope to see y'all again. -Jim

Out with the old, in with the new
Oh man. I was going to ask you if you were going to get rid of the rig how much you'd ask. I was interested in the motor for rebuilding. I could've turned that one around by mounting my motor on it. Down at KY didn't seem like the best time to ask you though. Thats too bad. I would've let you taken it home from the lodge. Everything happens for a reason. I just poured too much money into that boat and couldn't stomach putting any more into it. I had to cut my losses.

Out with the old, in with the new
Well I guess burning up the VMax motor on the Kentucky BR trip wasn't such a bad thing after all. Thanks again to Joe and Andy for the tow in. Here is my new ride. It's an '05 Nitro 911 CDC w/ a 225 Merc. Hopefully I get many years of enjoyment out of this one. -Jim Grouch

Great first outing
Hey thanks guys...The key was to work it slow off the bottom with some light jerks. Surprisingly this one was sitting in 5-7 ft of water. Here's another pic.

Great first outing
I ended up heading out for the first time yesterday with BR member BassNub and his friend here in Michigan. We were fishing a private lake and the water temperature was 45 degrees. We tried a variety of baits but were most successful using jig heads with various types of grub tails. At the end of the day we caught a total 40 bass including this 4 lbs 14 oz. The other ones were pretty small but it was sure fun catching them considering 5 days earlier there was ice accross the lake.

SE Michigan Ice?
Good news for anyone in the area. I personally went and checked St Clair today and there are at least 2 places you can get the boat out on. Metro Beach - No Good as of today (Monday 16th). Harley Ensign - Good & Selfridge - Good. I talked to 2 guys that came in on a boat and they said it was smooth and clear. I'll be out there this week. Good Luck!

I want to get my boat in the water bad, but is there anywhere to do it? Looking into Pontiac to St. Clair area. Please let me know what the water/ice conditions are area there. Thanks!

Four legged fishing buddies
Unfortunately this is what happens when I leave town and the girlfriend is watching him...She turns him gay. Notice how happy he is on the jetski with me and not so happy being with her. You can really see it in his face.

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I want to know how many others have already been studying maps and picking out spots they want to try?

Four legged fishing buddies
This is Cody... 50% Pitbull, 50% Rottweiler, 100% Baby. He loves everything to do with the water. While fishing he lays on the boat until I catch a fish and then he gets up and gets all excited to watch as I bring it in...then its back to sleep for him.

Side Imaging Pics....
JohnG...Yes to answer your question it is as easy as the steps you just mentioned. Just pan over with the cursor to the "brush pile" you see on the screen and hit mark....It will save that way point into the gps exactly where the brush pile is. I have this system and it it great. Well worth the money.

Power Tilt/Trim
This is what I used after someone else suggested it on the forum. Wal-Mart special...find the cheap ketchup/mustard bottles like in the pic. Cut the tip back to what will work best. Worked great for me.

I made my military decision
You are making an admirable decision. There will be good times and bad, but most of all the memories you will have in these few years will be with you forever. Best of luck to you! -Jim Grouch (USMC 2002-2006)

Any info on Kassuba Lake, MI?
Do yourselves a favor and head about an hour east of Gaylord to Fletcher's Pond (aka Fletcher's Floodwaters). It is located in Hillman Mi (49746). You will not be disappointed as there are 4, 5, & 6 pounders pulled out on a daily basis in the summer. I was searching for the best LM bass fishery in MI 2 years ago and that is the place I came up with. Just watch your speed on the lake as it was MANY hidden stumps through out the lake. You'll love it.
