I use the silver blade with the white split double trailer it comes with. Size "0". I have them in all colors too. Mister Twister Top Prop This is awesome because it's a topwater bait. A slow reel, or a rip n pause, or 3 rips and a pause. Even just a long pause on the cast will make them strike. Mister Twister Grub On a weighted hook dropped into the weeds. For me it's the colors milktruese, chartruese, yellow or black. The single tail or double tails work awesome. Scrum frogs topwater presentation. Jig N Pig with a heavier weight to crash threw the weeds to get it to the bottom. Carolina Rig, with a heavier weight with a short leader. (12" - 15")

I just ordered more stuff. I'm just about completely stocked up on everything. I should be able to fish for a longtime without needing too much. The bait monkey isn't comming here because he came and went. But we do go thru plastics. and terminal tackle. I guess the bait monkey will be beating on my door again soon. I just purchased 5 New spinning rods, three new okuma spinning reels, a ton of mister twister comidas and other plastics, plus more bomber cranks for my stash. Once I get the doctors ok to fish I can go non stop. I get more time to fish rather than trying to replace stuff. Labor day is a month away. Fall fishing will be fun this year. I will fish up to when the ice is on.

But be careful on your hook sets there is no rubber band with copolymer line. If you do sweeping back hook sets with the rod you could pull the hook out before it's set in.

Awesome video. He's on target. I list my water conditions as follows, 1. Clear water, natural colors, smaller sized lures, fished the fastest. 2. Slightly Stained water, a mix of smaller lures natural & less brighter colors but fished slightly slower slower than fast. I tone the brighter colors down in this water condition. 3. Stained Water, medium sized lures, bright colors, fished slower. 4. Muddy Water, larger sized lures, fished the slowest. Having a rattle, a knocked or ticker is a plus. Having a tad more wobble or vibration is a plus, using scents is a plus. Picking a lure color for any water conditions also relates to your choice of plastic colors too. Remember size does matter in clear water.

For some reason my fish caught numbers have been lower instead of increasing like they have been in the past. I was up to 7 to 9 good size bass per trip. But I increased my line size due to losing bigger fish. I increased my rod lengths too. I found I could cast just as far with the heavier line. Now my plan is to get a stiffer top water rod setup with stronger line. I figure the bass don't see the topwater line anyhow. My C Rig rod setup is ok, my crank bait needs lighter line probably 10lb test. My smaller crankbait rod will get 8lb test. My heavier spinner bait rod will get 10lb test and my smaller spinner bait rod will get 8lb test. My PB of 10lbs was caught on 8lb Excalibur silver thread copolymer line. If you fish from shore what line test do you use?

I was rushing to fish one day and probably lost 5 to 7 New lures to the trees. Catching trees was hot that day. I just went home a beaten fisherman that day. I haven't done that since in five years now. I'm not rushing nor panicking anymore to fish. I go slow now.

BPS offers there 7 1/4" stick o worm that's the biggest senko type bait that's manufactured to date. But make sure you have a big hook for it too. I used one for the first with the biggest hook I had which was too small. I seen the bass come out of the weeds and grab it. I lost possibly a new state record that day. These 7 1/4" stick o worm are the fattest I have ever seen too. They do require a very large hook too. Remember big bait= big bass

If I catch fish on them anyone should know it's all about the location your using them at. I find in fishing the same places over and over I still am learning new areas to fish. Every spot where cranks, spinnerbaits, inline spinners, brushogs, worms and topwater stuff works so does the senkos. Again I don't stick to one pattern. I switch lures till one catches fish. That's the challange yo me. Not all the lures work all the time. Now with muddy water fishing with senkos doesn't the lure color rules apply to the diffrtent different water conditions? I'm thinking if I used senkos in muddy water they would be in brighter colors with a rattle installed on both ends of the wacky rig. Using a scent would help too. How about a bubble gum or chartreuse color senko? I swear by using rattles and scents with plastics gives us an advantage. I do prefer my crankbaits with rattles for ringing the dinner bell for long distances they will come to eat. Remember in fishing it's sight, sound and smell that works for us. What lure color to use for different water conditions applied to plastics too why wouldn't they? Right now I have most of the different colored comida(MT senko) in stock. I'm going to test all the colors someday. Like I tested the crank bait colors to see if all the colors work sometimes and there are days were one color works with just like the crankbaits. I would go with a Finor 200s is about $79 to $99, or a okuma exiptor around $59, You can get a cheaper okuma for $32. I had to twist my frugal son's arm to get a finor. Now a decade later he loves it.

I fish mainly from shore so the farther out I cast I can reach the fish breaking on the top. I use reel magic on my spools and on my rod eyes with no problems for years yet.I have to say it works for me.

After losing fish after fish to mono I switched to Excalibur silver thread copolymer. My days of losing fish are over. Plus the mono is very stretchy too. My next thing is to sharpen all my hooks too.

I just received my second mister twister order of all the comida(senko type) plastics. They all look awesome I can't wait to try them all. My new supplier is awesome.All the colors look even better in person. I also purchased there 1" grubs in milktruese and chartreuse to use with a rattle Bobber for crappies. Crappies taste the best. Save the bass and eat crappies.

That's how I work the Carolina rig with the weedless wacky rigged senko. I let it fall till the weight hits the bottom not the senko. Then up and down, etc. Most of the time the first fall has a fish on it.

I tried the 12" culprit worms in black shad. I used a 4/0 hook and installed a worm rattle and a shot of baitmate worm & crawler scent. On my very first cast I caught a 13" pickerel. What was he thinking striking a 12" worm. I casted it with no weight. And worked it parallel to shore. He actually hit it as I was reeling it in slow. I still believe in big bait big fish but the smaller fish like big baits too. Don't give up when the smaller fish interrupt you. Keep trying I notice the bigger fish will come by to see what the smaller fish are doing. If the smaller bite slows down the bigger fish are nearby. If they don't strike change the worm to a different color or size till they strike. I've seen this happen many times now.

I still have my old michell spinning reels there in a box with my D A.M. Quick spinning reels, they still look and function like new. But these older reels are antiques now. Seeing these in the past with there quality I purchased a mitchell baitcaster too. Your right we never mention them. It's like a Harley rider who won't mention he learned to ride on a Honda as his first motorcycle. I started out fishing with a short stiff saltwater rod with a zebco 202 reel for freshwater and saltwater. Me and my buddy used the same setups. We fished so hard we would wear a 202 out every year. For $4.95 We would put on a new reel every year. With a one ounce sinker I could cast all the line on the 202. We thought we were hot stuff. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. We didn't have the best equipment but we did catch fish. Those zebco reels are awesome even today I have one on a telescopic rod for under the seat on my motorcycle. I was casting a saltwater open Penn reel with a flatfish hook and a 2 oz. lead sinker As the hook started to enter my calf it went in deeper and deeper till it went 6" and stopped. It buried itself in my calf. It wasn't fun to remove. I had too much line out when I casted. I was just a kid trying to make do with any fishing equipment I had. I even used a soda can with line wrapped around it. As a handheld spinning reel. It worked great. I wonder where popiels got the idea for his pocket fisherman?

I find my spinning reel harder to crank with the 6.2:1 gear ratio. Would a baitcaster with the same 6.2:1 gear ratio be easier to crank? I think the 7.2:1 ratio is too much for me. Is there a case of ripping a spinner bait too fast? Right now I crank the smaller spinnerbaits slow. I find the larger spinnerbaits do not work for me and maybe my speed is too slow. I watch Jimmy Houston ripping his larger spinnerbaits so speed maybe my problem. It's probably my arthritis, and my old quad/dirtbike injuries. Sorry for the dumb questions. I would like to learn to rip spinnerbaits as they say. I would like to improve my spinner bait fishing with the larger spinnerbaits.

I use mainly spinning reels. My first question is what baits are you going to use it for? What I mean is what gear ratio? A 5.2:1 ? A 6.2:1 ? or a 7.2:1 ? Ripping spinnerbaits? Cranks? Plastics? One more question is a metal body or plastic body? The metal bodies can cost more. The better the quality the price goes up. But on the other hand I have a box of cheaper reels were the bass just tore them up. My best quality spinning reels so far are Finor and Okuma. Finor manufacturers those big saltwater reels in a gold color that are used for tarpon, sailfish etc. There a high quality reel. One reel repair guy posted here if everyone used finors he would be out of business repairing reels. Now with the Okuma spinning reels I find with 10 ball bearings there ok too. To me there a tad stiff at first, to me with arthritis. But I break them in on my worm rod first then switch them to my spinner bait rod. To me both reels have been flawless. I know there are other brands out there too. One thing I do is to close the bail by hand after I cast. They say it avoids line twist on any spinning reel.

I'm not on there property at all its a town road and bridge. Second I would never sue anyone.

Awesome review I just purchased all four colors of the rebel frog r. I just purchased the rebel frog pop r too (popper version). I can wait to get out and try them.

Springtime, Topwater, crankbaits,spinnerbaits,inline spinners, pre spawn lizzards. Summer (as it heats up) Topwater (early), plastic worms, creature baits, jig & pig, Fall, Swimbaits, crankbaits, inline spinners. The old timers tell me in the spring they fish lakes and ponds, in the hot summer they switch to fishing in rivers, in the fall it's back to the lakes and ponds. Fishing from shore it makes sense to me.

I can read animals. I watch them from my stand. When the chipmunks freeze and look in one direction you know something is headed your way. Reading the animals is like having radar.

When I first got into bass fishing really heavy one spring post spawn I had to drop everything to go on a vacation to Kittery,Maine with the misses. For the first time I was bumbed to go. But we rode around looking for tag sales. I found a woman who's husband passed away and he fished saltwater and freshwater. She had rods, reels and lures for sale. An older probably 50's to 60'ish 5'6" light spinning rod that was $5. I set it up and right off my bass fishing took off. I'm thinking the rod is blessed with good luck or the old man is looking down on me. Either way I hit the first bass feeding frenzy using this rod. Do you believe in good luck in equipment when it's passed on to you? Since then I purchased new equipment but the luck in that rod surely cemented my love of bass fishing.

I pick up garbage on the shore, extra fishing line that's on the shore. Garbage left in the woods and abandoned pets too. I suggest catch & release when they can get help with food stamps if they apply for them. I see people taking 2" sunfish to eat.
