Shimano Compre v. St. Croix Premier
Sorry for the bad info I gave about the Warranty. :'( :'( I did not know that they made 7'6". I don't think they make a MH in 6'6" rod and no 7' rod in MH. :'( :'( :'( :'(

offer
If you want to flip and pitch jigs I would go with the 3/8-1oz. because that rod is rated a MH- H action rod, and you can fish a C-rig or aT- rig also. The 1/4 -5/8 rod could be a M or maybe MH. :-X

Shimano Compre v. St. Croix Premier
I would take the Premier myself, but it does not come in a 7' only 6'6". And I think BPS has both of them. :

Interview with Ish Monroe. Gotta question?
Hi Ish, I have two for ya. I live in Wisconsin and our bass spawn about late May to mid June. Would it be a good idea to fish at night for pre and post spawn bass? When fishing rainbow swimbaits in a lake that has no rainbow it, would this be as good of bait or would you change to a different color swimbait?

Crankbait on a C-rig ? WHAT?
I fished late last year with a good bud of mine,he told me all year to fish a small crankbait on a C-rig. I thought he was ready for the fish farm :'(. So he did get me to use it on our last two trips from last year. And let me tell you it did work. He uses a small crank, like a Bomber and fish it like a jerk bait.He told me that in summer he uses a bigger crank. Now have any of you tryed this? He did get me to trust in it. We did fish it on points with rock, weed lines, ect. :

spinning reel
Just my two cents worth. But for me it is hands down,it has to be a Pflueger President $ 60.00 you can't go wrong. It has 9 stainless ball bearings. I have 3 of them and I love them! :) ;)

I would like to see what all of you like for sunglass color lens. Overcast day Low light Bright days Dark water Clear water I have been useing Solor Bat in a moss green lens. But I have trouble on a cloudy day or in low light, trying to see weedlines ect. The moss lens works good on bright days. :-/ :-/ :

clear water lures
Bass XL, Yes, to the red and green colors. Remember crawfish change colors during the season, like when they are molting. If you have a live well in your boat and you catch a bass, put it in your live well and see if the bass will throw up any crawfish in your live well( they do this alot) that they were feeding on, and then you can see what color the crawfish are feeding on. As for the spinnerbaits I like white/w gold and silver willow blades near weeds or white/w chat. I also like white blades. Chatterbaits I cannot help you with because I picked some up this winter and plan on trying them myself this year. As for top water on a clear lake I like spooks,pop-r's, floating tubes, spittin image, smaller buzz baits,Rapala floating minnow, and I have used the X rap at or near the surface and it works great, torpedos, lucky 13 by Heddon, chug bug. I don't use flukes as a top water I fish them around docks and from shallow to deep water on a C-rig.But you could fish them as a top water like a jerk bait. I hope I did help you out some. 8-)

Crankbait rod?
Thanks for everyone's input,it did help. I can't wait to get to BPS to start to find the right rod. In the past I was not much of a crank basser. I have a ton of cranks in my box but never use them.Well this year I want to change that.I would like to find a rod that I can get away with useing shallow cranks and some deep ones? :-? :-/ :-/ :-/

Nighttime Topwater Baits?
I fish and guide at night alot. And I have found that one of my better top water baits is a BIG black jitterbug. I use the muskie jitterbug, And fish it at a slower pace and it will get your hart pumping. I take the hooks off that come on the jitterbug and I put on VMC 5/0 hooks on,they are razor sharp.I hook alot of SM that just slap at it. I also fish a big floating tube with a 4/0 EWG hook. Gene Larew and Carlson bait co. make some real good floaters. Pop-R's work real good too, just don't pop them too hard, I like to just give them little pops.

Spro crankbait =Crank 25
Has any one fished these cranks? And what do ya think of them. I did see a fishing show and they were fishing these cranks in the perch and bluegill colors in the spring. 8-) :-?

Reds hooks vrs Normal color
For me I don't put too much into red hooks.I would think alittle red on my bait would be better than having red hooks! Just my two cents worth. : :-?

Senko rod...
I agree with Alpster,I use a 7'0" G-loomis MH and a fast tip. Or a Bass Pro Extreme 6'6" MH. As for line I like 8lb.-12lb. Vanish Or Big Game,

Crankbait rod?
I want to fish more crankbaits this year. I fish way too many plastics, so I can use some help on a crank rod. I was looking at the Fenwick Eagle GT and 6'6" MH with a fast tip. I would like a 7 ft. but 6'6" would be ok. I don't want to speed alot because I feel I don't need a top dollar rod for cranks. Any other help would be great. :-/

Does anyone miss Mad Man lures as much as me?
Yes, Yum makes a tube craw, I am just saying that Mad Man had alot more colors to pick from and there craw worm was great, and alot of colors in the craw worm also. I still use the craw worm on fin. jigs and it is a cool little fin. jig trailer. ;D

Does anyone miss Mad Man lures as much as me?
I know that Yum has a craw like there Mad Man's but, it is not the same and Mad Man had alot more colors and some real cool colors! I did work for Mad Man lures for about 5 years as a rep. up here in Wisconsin. When they closed the doors they sent me a big box of baits as payment for the instore stuff that I did at the end. I just miss working for them, they were real good people. Dan :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
