  1. It all depends on what you are fishing. If you are fishing slow baits like jigs, tubes, worms, ect in clear water the bass will see it. I fish a very clear lake and my partner was out fishing me 4 to 1. He was fishing a mono line and I had a braid on, fishing the same baits and the same colors, then we changed rods and I out fished him so that was all the proof I needed! :'( :'( :'( :'( :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
  2. Thanks guys, I went and bought another Fenwick Eagle Gt so now I have the 7' M and a 6'6' both in spinning. They seem like real good rods for the money ! So what should I fish on the 6'6" Mh === Worms ? :-/
  3. I picked up a Fenwick Eagle Gt 7' M for $ 44.99, but now I am not sure what to use it for? What would you boys use it for? ( Cranks,tubes,t-rig ect. )? :-/ :-[ : : :-? :-? :)
  4. Pop-R, jitterbug, spooks, buzzbaits, floating tubes, frogs, chug bug,
  5. I fish a tube just like a jig. I also swim them too. 8-)
  6. The rod is a 7, MH and the line 8lb. P line.
  7. Yes you swim it back to the boat. It is fished like a crank bait but at a slow speed.I did real well last year doing this. I have fished them over the tops of weeds and in pads. And hang on, they hit the jig hard.
  8. RW, Do you use Reel Magic or the KVD line cond. on your lines? I was told that it takes that white film off your line that they put on at the factory, and that it makes your line more soft and less memory? Someone told me that they spray it into a rag when putting the line on there reels. Dan
  9. I was at a seminar ar BPS last weekend and they were talking about this jig. They did show a film clip of them fishing this jig on a TV show, and all I can say is WOW. I would just like to know if anyone has fished these little bruts ? :-X They were fishing them in the pads and never got hung up coool. : :-? 8-) So I had to pick up about 11 jigs and I am ordering more. They were fishing the 5/16 and 7/16.
  10. When pad fishing which one would be better the solid body or the hallow body? Now when fishing the slop which one would be better? I would think the horny Toad would be better fished on the outside of pads and slop or can it be fished or on top of the slop, pads? :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-
  11. I was at bass Pro on Sat. and I was at a seminar and the speeker was talking about these weights and clips. They hold your plastic from slipping down your hook and saveing your plastic bait from tareing up! Does anyone know of these or fished with them? Do you think they are worth buying? : They are on page 203 of the Bass Pro Bass Book !
  12. I was looking at this rod at Bass Pro and what a sweet little rod. It was real lite and I would think it would be a great rod. I never fished one but just my two cents worth. I came real close to buying it, but I needed two other rods, maybe next year!
  13. Black,Black,Black,Black, now what color would you use? :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
  14. I also will agree with Catt on this. There are times when I have out fished my partner using a sent, but for the most part I use it to cover any bad sent!
  15. Paca Craws, or Zoom swiming chunks,or a Zoom Meat Head on a finn. jig. :
  16. I took there advice and went to Gander last week and bought the Ultra Soft in the 6lb and 12 lb. for my bait casters. I cant' wait to try it. ;D
  17. I was looking in the Bass Pro book and they don't show a DD22 in the lavender shad.
  18. But one thing, change the hooks that come on the jitter bug they are junk! I replace mine with VMC hooks of the same size. They are easy to change!
  19. I am new to this crankin thing, so when you fish a DD22 do they hit the bait hard or is it a soft bite? :
  20. I have used both and they will catch fish. I do like the BIGGER jitterbug better. I fish them at night all the time and into the wee hours of the morning. They will catch Big bass. Use any color as long as it is BLACK !
  21. I was at BPS last weekend and I picked up more of these cool jigs. This is going to hot jig this year! :o 8-) :
  22. If I where you I would go with the 6'6" in a MH rod because you can use that rod for alot baits. I like 7' rods, there is a bigger up side for the 7' rod.But do your home work ( no pun) and go to Bass Pro or a good fishing store and get them in your hand to see how they feel to you.Not every one likes the same rods.
  23. I think what he is asking is how much longer cast he can make with a 7' rod vs. a 6'6" or a 6' rod ? :-? :-?
  24. Don't feel bad my water is hard here too. Our bass season does not open untill first Sat. in May,but the rivers are open all year, but I don't river fish!! :'( :-/ :-/
  25. I did not have any problems with the rattles coming off, and I pulled in alot of bass with this jig!
