  3. OH my! They killed tweety bird and took his eye! :'( :'( :'( > > > >
  4. Mono for topwater and cranks. Braid for frogs and a C-rig,swimming jigs. Flou. for everything else!
  5. I may have to end this problem and just buy both!! ;D
  6. The new purple reel is on sale in the flyer for $79.94.
  7. Boy there are some good deals on reels in the flyer! Now it may be harder for me to make my mind up. I am thinking of the Carbonlite reel or the Purple Rmx reel ? What do you guys think of the two? :-/
  8. Is the old RC reel the same as the new Ricky Clunn RCX reel? I just got my flyer and the purple RC reel is on sale so I am not sure if I can still get the old blue one yet. Just would like to know if there are the same or did they make any changes other than the color?
  9. My flyer came, my wife just showed to me! So I got to go,me and the monkey will be looking at it. Be back later!
  10. I was thinking it was a white rod. I thought he had a new company and the rod was white! Oh, maybe I am just getting too old and seeing things!
  11. Nobody yet. $99.?? Do you have one?
  12. On page 325 of the BPS Catalog they have the XPS hook weights that you pinch on a hook to make it a swimbait hook of a weighted hook for worms ect. Has anyone tryed them? Are they any good? I think they may slip down the hook! Or should I just stay with molded on weights? :-?
  13. Who sells them? :-? And how much do they run $$$ ?
  14. Maybe the $69.95 is a online deal only, and not a in store sale? actually, its the exact opposite. It is NOT on sale online, but it is in my local store. All you do is call them and say it is on sale in the store, and they will honor the price match. Also, this week is $1 shipping so its the best time to buy it. My local store is the one in Chicago, by the way. I sent you a PM !
  15. Maybe the $69.95 is a online deal only, and not a in store sale?
  16. Do you think the carbonlite or the Mojo is more sen. and lighter?
  17. I think you took me the wrong way! I am by no means mad or upset! I agree with all of you,I am not trying to pick a fight> Maybe I came across in the wrong way! I just do very, very well at fishing deep water cover at night. I also fish tournaments and I fish alot of shallow water also. I think we are all on the same page!
  18. Stratos 375,WRB,Catt, would it be cool to have a round table debate or a raido show with all of us? Let me explain that statment that I made! I do beleave that a GOOD deep water bass fisherman can be a very good shallow water fisherman! But I think a good shallow water bass fisherman will have more trouble fishing deep water! All bass relate to a object and when I fish deep water I am fishing some kind of a object or structure. The lakes up here in S.E. Wisconsin get very pounded on weekends so it is very hard to fish at times. So I started to guide at night about 12 years ago.So I had to get good at fishing deep water. And I did learn some very cool thing along the way. I think no one is wrong here! I would like share our little tricks about deep water fishing or what you fish in deep water? PS. I would rather fish in the wright place with the wrong bait than fish in the wrong place with the wright bait!
  19. Mano=sufix 8 & 10 lb. or Big game Flou= XPS 8 to 17 lb. Braid= Sufix or Power Pro 30 lb. 50lb.& 65 lb Copolymer= Gamma 8 lb.
  20. +1 X 2 if fishing open water you could go down to 30lb. braid, but for the thick stuff 50 to 65 lb.
  21. If she's only your girlfriend now, what'll happen if ya'll get married?! You might as well just stop fishing all together now! True, She has you in training camp! When you get married it gets worse! ;D ;D All kidding aside, if you set one rod as drop shot, that is not something you want to retie all the time! So I would go one rod to cover the bottom and the other to fish mid range to the top ( use a snap ), and something you can change baits fast like a snap! You could always look for a Gf with lots of money!!!!! ;D ;D
  22. I agree with everything you said! And I too am getting to want to fish the slop ( Or the cheese ) most of the time! But I guide at night and they pay for the biggins. So the deep water is were it is at. And don't get me wrong I love to fish deep water bass.I do think if you can catch bass in deep water, you now have the skill to catch bass anywere on a lake!
  23. Try Bobby's Perfect frog,a great frog with good hook up's.
  24. I like both the Bobby's Perfect and the River2Sea. Haven't tried the Phat Frog but can't wait. I'm always a bit skeptical when someone says something outfished something else 3-1 or 4-1. If one was working that good, did you put the one back on that was not so hot just for laughs and to try to not catch fish? I usually switch when a bait isn't working. Now if a buddy was using one and you were using something else and doing better, that might make sense. But still, if I saw my buddy catch 3 to my one, I would switch pretty quickly. I think with frogs, if you put any frog in the right place at the right time, it's gonna get bit. It's about hooking and catching percentage. I think snagproof give you the best hooking percentage as they are a tad softer, but the R2S does walk the frog a bit better. X2,Well said! I have never fished the river2sea frog so I can't make any pro's or con's about it. But I can say I have fished many hallow frogs and the Bobby's Perfect frog has the very best hookup of any frog that I have fished.
