  1. On this topic, why is it that hard fights are detrimental to fish, as opposed to say a couple of whitetails duking it out?
  2. Looks good. Plan on going tonite. Don't normally do movies, but as soon as I saw the trailers, I figured I needed to go.
  3. Not sure exactly how it works, but it's part of boughten advertising package. If I heard right a few years ago, advertisers pay extra for this extra "feature".
  4. For that kind of money there's got to be smart sound on there somewhere.
  5. Burley, you could always give the tv the Elvis treatment.
  6. Sounds like your ready to rock come spring.
  7. If you are who I think you are, welcome back. If not, welcome anyways.

  9. Glenn, thanks for the short course on water run-off. Something else I hadn't thought of. But the link I posted was for air temps. I put a different link that shows basically the same as the first one. I'ts a curve chart which shows 35 degrees winter months to 75 degrees in the summer months. Between the mountain run off and relatively narrow tempature change, what do you get for what would be considered a fall turnover? Are you headed to the back side of your deluge crisis? I see commerce was just killed by this. BTW here's a copy of the new link I found: http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/USWA0395
  10. Not sure if you want to keep this up in this thread, but I was wondering what this does to fishing, with that amount of discharge. My reservoir is much smaller and shallower, and when they take water, it's not that extreme to the fish.
  11. No wonder there is no excuses, you live there! Missed that somewhere.
  12. RW, I'm not really familiar with where you are. What water is the dam part of and how large is it? Glenn, I was curious about how close your monthly temps were based on what this page showed me. Obviously, you live it, so you would know, I was going on what this graph shows. http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/USWA0395 It makes one assume that the temps are comfortable year round.
  13. I keep looking over my shoulder thinking it's someone playing a joke. I wonder why such a spread. $120-$180. If they are selling at $120, there's still money to be made. Anyone getting $180 has got to making a killing.
  14. Glenn, only been to Seattle once. Ended up browsing around after I followed your links. Your temps don't change very drastically through the year, do they?
  15. Cruising around for stradics and found a site selling the 2500FI for $120. Last years model, this years, don't know. Either way, this is a good price, right?
  16. Cosmetics. It's a cool looking rod and it's just as functional as any moderately priced rod. If you like split grips, or aren't sure, it's as good as any for the $100 mark without breaking your wallet.
  17. Saw this on the news before I left for work this morning and wondered about Glenn. Was hoping that losing power wasn't an issue for him. Stuck high and no power. Hope not. Stay well, ff15
  18. Read some posts a while back about mozilla firefox. I think HookemDown was in on that. Anyways, downloaded it and decided it was to radical of a change for me just yet. Up graded to E7 and gonna use it for a time, and wean myself to firefox. Just a matter of getting used to something different. I remember hating the idea of upgrading 95 to 98. Scared the hell out of me. ;D
  19. Reminds me of a stolen snowmobile here a few years ago. The wardens just followed the tracts to their front door. Real smooth.
  20. The "Boss" lost me when he went all out political a few years ago.
  21. Couldn't say it's the same thing, but it sounds real similar to what happens to me occasionaly when I do a lot of hard casting. I tend to put my arm and shoulder into it more instead of using my wrist. I think I end up pulling muscles.
  22. I'm a smoker. Used to have a pack gone by 10 am. Not proud of it, but that's the way it was. I still smoke a pack a day. If an establishment wants to allow smoking, it needs to be their right. In essence what they are saying is that as a non-smoker, they don't need your business. Why would you want to patronize a place that really don't care if you don't like the smoke. This is what it comes down to. As a side note, I understand where the non-smokers are coming from, and I personally try to be very conscientious of who I am blowing smoke around. If I were a non-smoker, I wouldn't like it either. I also bar tend and when I have a customer who is a non-smoker, I don't smoke or at the very least, stay at the very end of the bar. Respect for others isn't that hard. Life was much easier as a kid when my choice was candy lucky strike or chesterfield. Other than cavities, no health issues with them.
