  1. On the river leading to the flowage where I am at can be fun sometimes. When they pull the plug people walk the shore lines and on occasion find indian artifacts. From what I've been told and have seen, mostly arrowheads.
  2. Ya, I guess that was open ended. I was just wondering how far Dave was off the coast. He was talking about his area being ocean years ago, and was just wondering what distance there was from him to the coast now. I would assume you are relatively close.
  3. If you can, buy them both. Then fish them both enough to know which one you prefer, and sell the other. Unless you were to end up keeping both. They are popular reels and should you sell one used, your still gonna get most of your money back out of it. JMO Goodluck-Brian
  4. How far off the coast are you?
  5. Wonder what's up with the shells. Maybe deposited there by long ago flooding? BTW, as you were describing your walk, I was picturing little Jeffy's zigzag trail from home to the store in the Family Circle cartoon.
  6. Welcome E3 FE, great havin' ya!
  7. SmokinShad, here is a thread I saved from a while back. It's not specific to your question, but it should help you understand rod design and application better. Good reading. Good luck! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546
  8. heres to ya memo!
  9. The last time I heard, that's what the deal was. They hit a snag about a month ago, but I was told it will go thru.
  10. Glenn, I also am looking for a change, and a few years ago trying to uninstall Norton, it stated certain files had to remain because they were shared files with another program. If I do uninstall Norton to switch protection, is this a big deal?
  11. and Micro, Please.......No mutinies ;D ;D ;D
  12. Cart7t, you inferred that the centrifugal brakes on the Revos aren't time tested, that is, if I understood correctly. I respect everyones opinions and comments here so please, don't take offense. The revos centrifugal brakes have been around for a little while and I haven't heard of any one having a quality issue with them as far as durability or longevity. Understand, I'm just trying to stay informed. Micro, feel free...
  13. Right back at ya Dean! Great call on the Tiki Sticks, especially the colors. Found them in the mail yesterday. Thanks a bunch and have a Merry Christmas
  14. EJ, we are getting our fare share in Wi, I'll see what I can do about getting some your direction. As far as the "winter sports", we did plenty with a 76 MonteCarlo and a tobaggon out on the flowage. Looking back, it was insane!

Welcome Davo, and Merry Christmas right back at ya!
  16. Cranks. I want to get better with them in different scenarios. Plastics are also a big priority, and fortunately Dean has sent me a nice usps package loaded with them for Christmas. Lot's more reading to do this winter.
  17. Is there such a beast as a v-hull john boat? Never heard of it. Just curious.
  18. RW, that one still hurts, don't it?
  19. WCCT, I do not own either one of these, but I do own several other Revos and am fairly familiar with them. I own all the models except the Skeet Reese and the Premiere and highly recommend them, but at the same time realize there are other quality reels out there. I would do some on-line fact finding on the Skeet Reese before electing to dismiss it. Not familiar with the graphite parts of the reel. As far as I know the frame and side plates are aluminum.
  20. Welcome Bong, glad to know ya!
  21. I wished these things could be explained. There are things in life that really test your faith.
  22. Chaddy, that's exactly what I said. But mine were worse, they were tube socks! Booten, what can't you figure out? The Gene Autry part or using a cassette from the old days.
