Big Bear
Not sure, but I think he means cuisine. That pic that I got was about 75yds. from my bow stand. Until that point, I had never taken a side arm hunting. Rumor had it that that particular bear was a problem bear trapped by the DNR up in the Superior area and released in the lower Chequamegon National Forest.

Big Bear
Here's a pic I got on my game camera about 12 yrs ago. Standing on my tippy toes, I could barely touch the broadcaster on the bottom side of the feeder. Locals figured somewhere between 7-800 lbs.

One of my favorite performances. *No headbangers allowed*
The man is in a league of his own. Some things get better with age, and Clapton is "all that".

Big Bear
I'm not sure. I know he was combining corn when he hit it. This late in the year i'm guessing that the bear was denned up. I just don't know how a bear dens in a cornfield. :-/

WaveSpin reels
Bingo! I'm not gonna expect the same but it's something for me to look for. If I should end up with the same problem, at least I'll know it maybe a quality issue. Thanks Primus

BIG PROBLEM!!!! Asian jumping carp!!! HELP!!!!!
I can't speak to the carp/bass issue, but I have heard that the fish and game experts aren't sure what they can do eradicate them or at least to suppress the population.

BIG PROBLEM!!!! Asian jumping carp!!! HELP!!!!!
I don"t know the whole story behind the carp, but at one time was told that a few years ago when the Mississippi flooded big time that the carp got into the river from private ponds that the river overtook. I have seen several videos from the MN/WI area of the Mississippi that are just insane. Some boaters have even taken to wearing motorcycle helmets on the river. Several people have been hurt and I believe even one women was killed. I am of the understanding that the vibrations in the water from the boat motor agitate the carp, and according to the video footage, they just shoot straight out of the water. A lot of them. Search flying carp on You-Tube, there is tons of video http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=flying+carp&search_type=&aq=f

Revo Inshore line guide insert??
T-rig, this may be a naive question, but are you out of business for the season or do you still have open water?

storing rods
I maybe wrong, but I thought RM said that long term storage with reels in place may cause permanent warping of rod in the reel seat area. I'm gonna go back in the archives and see if I can find that old post. Don't hold me to it. It may have been someone else.

Laid off
Right behind you grimlin. I've about 2 weeks left and then we are out of housesto build. Don't do winter stuff including ice fishing, so I guess I'm making firewood.

Quantum Energy PT?
In reading other threads and posts over the last few months, it sounds to me that if you do not get over aggressive when setting the hook while cranking, you should be okay with that rod until you can expand your arsenal. Some feel that your apt to rip the crank out of a good hookset by being to forceful. Hope this helps a bit until someone can be more in depth.

St. Croix Mojo rod?
T-rig bought his for tossing Big swimbaits, and I bought one for the weeds. I know basically which rod could be used for a specific purpose, but other than that, do not have near the knowledge that a lot of others here on the forum. That said, I know one thing for sure. It's COOL looking. ;D

storing rods
I was hopin' this thread would help. I'm sure most fishermen don't check the regs for obscure laws like this. I've since found that in Wisconsin, they send you to a Reintroduction to Rod Storage class if caught with improperly stored rods. $125 and you need to bring a sponsor. Guess I got away with one!
