  1. If your set on lp Abu Garcias take a look at the Revo s. Centrifugal brakes located inside the side plate. Once you have them adjusted how you like, your pretty much all set. There's no external adjustment, you have to remove the side plate which is easy enough. They sell for about $100
  2. If you like centrifugal brakes over magnetic, and your thinking of Abu Garcia, take a look at the Revo s over the sx. Other than initially finding out where I wanted the brakes on the s, I have yet to open them reel up to readjust. I have severeal of both reels, but honestly if the s was offered in black, I probably wouldn't have an sx. JMO
  3. Thanks TF, that looks mighty good!
  4. Someday I truely hope to meet ALL of you. I hope it can be this spring, if my budget will let me. Housing isn't really a bed of roses right now.
  5. Muddy, you need to seriously market some of this stuff. I look forward to coming on here daily to see what's next. Get on this site and do something with your wit. "Your the Greatest"! http://www.wgaeast.org/
  6. Didn't catch him, but had a bald eagle dive for a crazy crawler I was flinging a few years ago. Mid air, I stopped the spool and yanked back really hard. I don't think he missed it by more than 5 feet. Glad he missed.
  7. Nice haul ther TF! Just wondering how you do 'em up. Do you fry them, boil them? ff15
  8. I guess with the right encouragement, anythings possible. I haven't fished with any Shimanos, but by spring I want to have the E5. I have been riding the fence on the curados for a couple of years and now with the new models, am ready to give em a whirl. I'm an AbuGarcia guy, but from what I've wittnessed and read on the forums here, they sound like a solid deal. BTW, In your avatar you are either happy with the world or telling fish stories. Which one? ;D ;D
  9. If your going to accasionaly be burnin' em go with a 6.4:1, and that will get you versatility with other baits. If not and your going to have a specific reel for cranks go with the the slower 5 ratios.
  10. Driving an hour to the lake and finding out that you left your tackle bags back on the hood of the lawnmower.
  11. If they win one it would be "their" best game of the year.
  12. A vid just sent to me in remembering our soldiers: http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?swf=http%3A//s.ytimg.com/yt/swf/cps-vfl66122.swf&video_id=ervaMPt4Ha0&rel=1&showsearch=1&eurl=http%3A//us.mc527.mail.yahoo.com/mc/showMessage%3Ffid%3DInbox%26sort%3Ddate%26order%3Ddown%26startMid%3D0%26.rand%3D1521455736%2&iurl=http%3A//i2.ytimg.com/vi/ervaMPt4Ha0/hqdefault.jpg&sk=2AAOqenjAgvHjlVqZhfjUlTq9FSAnUDHC&use_get_video_info=1&load_modules=1&autoplay=1
  13. Not sure about tournament fishing, but in Wisconsin, when we do fire Department raffles, we keep the first prize under $1000. As far as I know we have to report any winnings from that amount on up. This is Wisconsin, I don't know about other areas. Just thought I would toss that out there.
  14. I sent a bunch also. I guess if the kids needed it I've no problem with it. I just thought maybe there would be some pictures or something.
  15. Great little pup there. My brother just had to put his down acouple of days ago at 15yrs old. Bell was the tops. I swear of man's best friends, labs are the most human. Give him a ton of love and you'll get it back twofold. Good luck!
  16. Just curious how far we have to go before there is absolutely no security left . Is there even a system for being completely safe anymore?
  17. MikefromOleMiss? He was on earlier this summer looking for gear to try and get some local kids out fishing. Just wondering how he ever made out. Hope it was successful for him.
  18. Good post, thanks!
  19. Long live Plant and Page!
