  1. I am getting tired of going to my local sporting goods store to find something and when its not there because they dont carry it, the staff starts bad mouthing the product and the people who use it. Today I went in looking for some Sufix braid and it wasnt carried. The guy told me that spiderwire is the best stuff out there and actually that braid had no particular application and that hes been fishing for 30years...blah...blah...blah. And then they stand there scratching their heads wondering why a guy buys stuff off of forums and ebay :-/
  2. i burn all of mine...maybe not the best option, but far better than throwing it in the trash
  3. i have a parabolic that should be here this week...i know it doesnt help ya now.
  4. I can only speak for myself, but I think my overpriced gear and the dodge dually are to compensate for my "shortcomings" :-[ ...but I wouldnt have it anyother way!!
  5. i have a large plano soft bag that carries about 8 3700's plus one on each end...its not listed on the website anymore. for the 3700's i like to drill small holes for drainage for cranks i have a BandB takle box...i like to keep em hanging, instead of laying in possible water/moisture. http://www.bbbaitbox.com/
  6. Ive been using the H3O glasses and really like them. They come with three different colour lenses, case, and strap for about 100 bucks.
  7. Jig and Piggie...very versatile
  8. see, now that makes sense...i had visions of putting the whole new spool in the book and trying to reel :
  9. It either has white or yellow pages, it lists the names alphabetical... :-X Honestly, I dont understand the phonebook method of putting on line either.
  10. zillion in the 7.1:1 now just to see how durable it is...ive heard no bad things.
  11. Im in love with Daiwa!! :-* I havent used a Diawa product since I bought a B/C as a teenager, about 24 years ago. I just might have to have a fire sale on the shimano reels (except for musky gear)...
  12. I was gonna say the same thing...
  13. my buddy stopped by today to show me what he found at the boat launch...a shimano calyx cyx100a. ive never heard of them, it looks like a cheaper model but very useable. it looks like its never had line on it, just a small scratch were it bounced from the boat/truck to the grass. anyone know anything about them? he did leave a note on the post saying "found your reel" with his phone no.
  14. ive got one in the 7.0:1 burner ratio...i love it, its smooth, lite (not as lite as the steez, but heh...) and fast. im using it to burn cranks when needed. the big thing i love about it, was the fact that a person can find these for a steal. if memory serves correctly i paid 130 for new in box off of ebay. it doesnt hurt that it is a nice looking reel.
  15. I have been wanting to get a line station... Anyone have any recommendations? Thx in advance
  16. Just got mine in the mail today...Hurray!!!! Got it lined up and went out and tossed some weight around the yard and I love it. Mine does not have a tight feeling and is very smooth...cant wait to get to the lake and give 'er a rip.
  17. The majority of my reels (both BC and spinning) are shimano and I love em. I do however have the Quantum Burner TE1170PT and absolutely love it. It is very smooth, easy to cast and this one is the 7.0:1 (so fast as well). The benefit of the Quantum over the Shimano that I have found is that you can find these cheaper than the Shimano's. I think I paid $130 brand new on Ebay.
  18. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! The bazooka! Ya gotta love that one...

  22. OH crap...I didnt introduce myself! :-/ Seems to be a good resource, especially for a guy that is getting back into bass fishing after years of primarily musky and walleye fishing.
  23. i ordered a 7'2" para for cranks, last night and am anxious to see how this feels and performs... and as for the orange...kinda like a gaudy color ;D
