  1. Well I haven't heard back from him today so that should be good news. The lab passes along the abnormal stuff ASAP to the docs and they let us know. While if its normal we have to wait according to the lab techs. I don't feel so bad now, stomach fairly tender and a little week but besides that I feel pretty good. Strange how all I can think about is getting well enough to fish a tourney in a couple weeks LOL. BTW- THANK YOU very much for all the well wishes.
  2. Well the last month it seems like I've been sick over and over again. A few nights ago it appears I may have gotten a bad pizza because not soon after problems started. Things got worse and worse ended up a couple nights ago with a fever that left me with horrible chills and dehydration. Everybody wanted me to go to the Hospital. I refused because I don't want to sit in a bed with a fracture pan (crap pan) bored out of my mind and having needles stuck in me. I mean for god sakes I work in a hospital and I don't won't to have to be in one all the time LOL. So anyway toughed it out that night went to the dock the next day. He pocked prodded me and weighed me. I'd lost 15lbs since the week prior when I was there. Was put on a clear liquid diet for a few days (hadnt been able to eat anyway) and had blood drawn and told no work until he gives me the ok. We also had blood drawn for tests and I get a call yesterday some Blood sugar levels were high and something about liver enzymes. So now there doing some extra tests on my blood. The old moms a nurse and she's got my whole procedure already planed it seems lol. I'm hoping it all comes back that I'm all good . With no need for a Hospital visit but I'm a little worried I'm still having some stomach pains.
  3. Haven't seen the newest one and I'm honestly trying to give it a chance. My main problem is it's just trying to pull on the heart strings a little to much for my taste. At times it doesn't even come close as coming off as natural and at it worsts it feels so contrived i can't take it seriously. I LOVE what they're trying to do with the concept of giving something back. Like for instance taking the old vet out who runs his own charity using fishing as therapy for the soldiers. That was a great story, but they then turned around and treated him like he was a novice with a zebco. When in his own right he had fished many tournies. Like I said I hate that I'm starting to hate this show but i cant help it. It doesn't help either that the former Bass announcer (host) comes off as a total phony to me as well. He's probably not a phony but he seems like a used care sales men to me. I guess all I'm saying is I like what there trying to do but the execution on the episodes I've seen suck.
  4. The deep diving one is probably my top preforming jerkbait.
  5. So I have a 17ft aluminum boat similar to a tracker with a 60hp engine. My old man has a Fiberglas boat with a 115hp. He's pushing for me to get a 9.9 on my boat to fish all the 9.9 lakes around. I might be willing to do it but if I do I need to know a few things first. I currently use a 86 merc with a steering system. Anything I buy I want to use with a steering system. So If buy a merc 9.9 will the cables work? Anybody know what the options are at getting a 9.9 to work with my system?
  6. Agree this was a mistake unless he has a coach like Cower or even fisher lined up. Although it looks like fisher is going to STL or Miami. I felt like the Raiders really made some big strides this year. This is just a classic case of not wanting to have somebody else's employees under you.

So I bought halo wars the other day. I like some rts games and meant to pick it up a long time ago. I'm having tons of fun with it and it's definitely the best console rts I've ever played. I also must say I'm not one for cgi cut scenes all that much but this is easly the best cgi I've ever seen. They should just skip the halo live action movie they had thought a bought making and just release a cgi one with this company heading the cgi. Anybody on here ever play it ? Maybe we could play online?
  8. That's where my old man and I are hitting up the first couple days of the trip.
  9. Sure it's not as arratic as a square will be but they still are erratic as can be, and once you develop a feel you can get baits to come threw most of the time. Once you learn to play the piano correctly with your cranks you unhook 95% of your baits that get hung anyway. It's all about trying different things to find what those bass want. I try to use cranks to trigger strikes so I try to speed up most of the time. I'll pick up a jig to work slow and precise.
  10. With all do respect my fellow anglers lets not turn this into a bashing thread. I've created one for that several months ago. I wouldn't pay full price for another carrot because of the breakage issue, but I've also broken two st croix rods due to no fault of my own. So I'm going to spend 40$ on a rod replacement ONCE! So if you can add something constructive thank u very much. Otherwise enjoy your noisy guides RW!
  11. Well I own a Gold series carrot stix for flipping and its been great except for a guide issue i fixed. I also owned a 7'3 mh micro that I broke on a hook set with a frog on my 3rd trip or so out with it. I then had one heck of a time to get somebody on the phone to set up a replacement. I finally have got in touch with somebody and I can get it replaced for 40$ and I can swap rods if I want. Really the 7'3 MH is perfect for what I want it to do. Buzz frogs, spro frogs, and some light flipping duties. However now I'm terrified I'm going to break it again if I use braid. So I've thought about going with the 7ft XH but was a little worried about it being to heavy to throw 3/8 ounce jigs I usually throw. While at the same time I hate to loose the three inches for better hook sets on the frogs. Then you have the 7'6 heavy. My only concern with it is it might be a little to long. I have a flipping stick and I love it but the length would make it difficult to walk a frog. Not to mention it would possibly wear you out as well. I'd love some feed back on any others with carrot stix breakage issues especially with this line. Plus anybodies thoughts on length and power ratings.
  12. Oh god is the site going to be down a month again like last year?
  13. Honestly I surprised nobody has mentioned crashing. I became a fan of crashing after I saw a crank work down a very think tree in ultra clear water. The lure as erratic as i've ever seen anything and it was something you could never hope to duplicate by a stop and go. The lure would smack into a limb then slowly grind over and suddenly dart in a crazy direction. It was simply amazing all the triggering aspects it was producing. Fast isn't always best but man dont be afraid of crashing from time to time because your worried about loosing a lure. By cheaper lures if your worried. Seriously!
  14. Ok guys let me give you guys a introduction to Fishing Rhino. He's a mans man. He's the Dos Equis's guy but from New England. He's the guy you want to talk to if your struggling out on the lake. The last two years at the roadtrip he's gladly shared all his spots with others, and told them everything they wanted or NEEDED to know. At Pickwick he showed up not only with his bass boat but with a large canoe strapped to his roof of his truck because he didn't want anybody to not have a boat to fish in. Everybody had a ride but this man drove thousands of miles with this thing because he cared that much about his fellow bass resource members. The good lord has shown his gratitude by giving Rhino a 6lb smallie at the Pickwick roadtrip in 2010 and this one at Ky/Barkley Roadtrip of 2011. So plan to make it to Roadtrip 2012 if you want to meet great men and women like him.
  15. Had the same problem rhino.
  16. The old man is wanting to spend a day or two at Pickwick below the Wilson dam. Then after having some smallmouth fun head over to guntersville for some lg mouths.
  17. I saw it new at Pickwick and then last year at ky lake and I must say he needs a new alarm system! Somebody must have taken a bat to that thing lol! My pops and I are already checking out lodging in the area. Chances are we will stay at the place listed here but we might try to save a few books. BTW CWB maybe we can caravan together again

    He's also part owner believe.
  19. Hasn't Alabama had enough tornadoes? I feel sorry for the good southern folk of the area. For we are the sign of the coming apocalypse. Winds will howl snow will fall and floods will wash out the crops. Now if these things don't come to pass we must check our roster of attendees and ban who didn't make it this year for he is the responsable party. I'm looking at you long Mike!
  20. Well I've slowly grown a collection of jerkbaits because of our fantastic power plant lake that is about to turn on right about now. I'm not one to say this lure is better then the next when it comes to jerkbaits. To me it's all about presenting a certain size and certain action at a certain time. When the bass aren't feeding actively I often throw the pointer 78 or a Academy DD jerkbait (LC knock off) if I think they want something deeper. Now for a mid range depth on actively feeding fish I like the bigger size of the 110 and the three hooks. I hope to get a bigger bight with that lure. I think all these I throw offer something a little different and have great action. I plan on buying some luck E STrike jerbaits in a few colors to give them a shot and provide more choices for different conditions. I'd have to check my tackle box but a the price 110's are I only have a couple and one of them (my first one by chance) I reeled in after catching somebodies line that had broke off. Personally I can understand Megabass being upset but you are only going to have a lure marked at such a prem price from over seas for so long before a local company copies and lowers the price. The only thing that can ruin this lure would be crappy hooks. I have no problem replacing hooks but with three hooks each to replace if there bad hooks it ruins the price savings somewhat.
  21. I'd recommend you buy some academy deep jerk baits , and some shallow ones from them as well. As far as shallow ones it tough to beat LC 98 in American shad on clear power plant lakes. Throw the smaller jerks on light line and remember to give the lure some slack so it can move more erratic. Keep an eye on your finder and see where shad are holding and remember they move! I certainly buy some LC's and megabass lures once in a while but I find most of the time you dont need the high dollar lures. With that said I HATE rapala jerk baits they just don't do well for me.
  22. All hail Lord CWB!!!!!! That was one awesome trip!!!! Was those caught using the Rhino drop shot special?
  23. The academy deep jerk baits that look and act like lucky craft are great. They go plenty deep IMHO and I and suspend dots if i want them to slowly sink.
  24. Way to go Ken! Glad all those lessons I gave you at the road trip are paying off.
  25. Hey oteymc I still got your wingnuts for your battery. Cwb told me to tell ya he is dry now.
