First of all .. what size wire comes off the trolling motor? For the footage you should not have much voltage drop from the battery. I would bump the wire up 1 size. You may also want to think about running a pull string along with the wire if you decide to change to a 24 volt system someday.

If you are going to go into the BFL or FLW I would advice to go to the discussion board and write in "looking for a boater" for the tournaments. It's always better to find a guarentee boater to sign up with, otherwise you maybe on a waiting list hoping to fish if they don't have enough boaters. Otherwise try www.nbaa-bass.com and look up there Indiana divisions.

Bass Pro Shop sells a tournament culling beam for around $13.00. You put 2 fish on it and the heavier fish will tip the beam down.

Let me correct everyone, Duckett's home lake is Lake Martin, and for only being pro for 4yrs I think he did outstanding, considering his fishing hero is KVD.

I think there is a big difference between what G-man did and how Ike "acted". G-man made a mistake in his judgement of boat operation. One that I see all the time on waters that I fish. Ike acted like a child in his tantrum he thru, destroying the light pole on the Ranger boat. This probably had some link to the drop of sponsor

Grade D I had to watch the live weigh-in on the computer. It's pretty bad when you have the biggest tournament of the year going on and you show racing instead. I thought that's what the speed channel was for. Maybe BASS should look at joining the OutdoorNetwork instead of ESPN.

I'm happy for Duckett, for an unknown to win will be big for him. Me being from Michigan i was of course rooting for KVD, but was also rooting for the unknown.
