Your kota should help you with some of that distance. as of putting it up with the battery, I would try to put something in between as the wires may also get hot. Something like a styrofoam cooler top would probably work

I like a lizard weightless slow rollin almost as its like walkin across the pads. Use a 2/0 hook on braided line, hook it weedless
