  1. Of course not fish hide under bridges and other shelters to stay dry when it rains it takes them a few days to come out and feed. Seriously though they'll work great when its cloudy and later in the day. Spook is a good choice.
  2. Gander Mountain really does suck. Customer service sucks and the people working there hardly know whats going on went there one time and seen a sign that said buy a tackle box and save 20% on all tackle you can fit in the tackle box sounded like a good deal asked when the sale was done guy came back 10 minutes later and said he didn't know and either did the store manager how can a store manager not know how long a sale is running. Lots of similiar things have happened. Selection can be pretty basic at times and its takes for ever to get lures and other things back in stock after they sell out. Prices are high too.
  3. bass love worms
  4. Look like a nice worm but I don't use powerbait much anymore cause it smells bait and its expensive for a regular worm. Really don't think they work better than culprits or zooms.
  5. Don't get not sharing baits either. I can really understand not sharing the spots though. Alot of places I fish are good because I rarely see anyone else fishing them in the spots I do. One place thats great for big smallies would be easy to see where it was by the backround and the fish are already spooky and tough to catch with the little pressure they get.
  6. I bet alot of crappy states are close to that or even more expensive so it don't seem to bad since canada is good fishing.
  7. I fish some ponds here in town that are very pressured but have alot of bass in them and besides live bait plastics works very slow in darker colors work good. I like senkos rigged weightless and weedless best but be less concerned with type of soft plastic or color and more concerned with working it real slow and in areas that get the lest amount of pressure. Good accurate cast catch alot of fish for me putting the bait in a little pocket of brush or rocks that the average guy won't get to will catch you fish. One reason I like senko is even weightless and with a baitcaster I can cast very accurate.
  8. Chicken liver and cut bait are my choices.
  9. Thats cause your to loud.
  10. I haven't been here to long so don't know maybe something happened but can think of a few good reasons why.
  11. Blue pearl is a good color as is watermelon but I Doubt you'll notice a difference with any colors as long as there on the darker side.
  12. Nice fat walleye but seriously doubt its 12 pounds.
  13. That jig just looked like it had a fish to its name what can I say. ;D Also shitfin wasn't there today. :'(
  14. I've caught fish on both but have more confidence in the senko but thats cause I've used it alot more. Both work.
  15. Hard to go wrong with soft plastics any time. Same could be said for spinnerbaits.
  16. Usually a spinnerbait but if I really am having trouble getting a hit I fish soft plastics slow.
  17. Hard to go wrong with any dark color. That goes to for all soft plastics not just the ika. Green pumpkin is good as is black, some of the different browns are good too.
  18. 1 senko rigged weedless and weightless 1 spinnerbait darker color like blue or black with 1 colorado blade 1 xrap any color Use the senko about 75 percent of the time and the spinner bait about 24 percent of the time. Had to pick something with the 3rd rod so went xrap with your set up but in reality I'd probably rig up a top water bait like a spook or devil's horse.
  19. Booyah makes a spinnerbait for night fishing and its works great I use it day and night though and both bass plus pike. One big black colorado blade and a black/red or black/blue skirt.
  20. Hard to find a bad time to throw a spinnerbait except maybe when the water is frozen just vary your speed and presentation.
  21. 80 pound line for bass? I don't understand? Thats muskie line.
  22. Al Lidner on a northern lake for a variety of fish.
  23. I use spooks alot and have never had a problem walking the dog on one don't know how another lure does it easier when the spook is almost effortless. Just real in steady and twitch as you reel it automatically goes side to side for me. Can't imagine a bait doing any better. Realism is over rated for a bait that is moved fast across the surface in my opinion so I have a hard time figuring why they are far better.
  24. Use a really low side arm cast close to the water like your trying to skip a rock and keep pressure on the spool with your thumb just lose enough to let line come out. Don't just let it free spool when it hits the water. I can skip a senko as good on a baitcaster as I can on a spinning. Also helps to tighten the spool tension thing or whatever its calls so that you don't even need to stop the spool with your thumb and keep adjusting it tell you can do it with how to normally have it set.
