Thanks for the info guys! Ive since been looking around and have found several boats in great shape for under 7k or so, which i guess is doable for me if the setup is really nice. I'm going to wait till after the new year to make a purchase though and save more money. On another note, how are Stratos boats compared to some of the other brands out there?

Been wanting a bass boat for a while now. Not talking bass tracker style or aluminum. I'm wanting a used fiberglass setup. Is it possible to get something decent for around 5k? Something that can compete in local tournaments. I understand for this price ill prob be replacing carpet ,electronics and trolling motor as it would prob be a older hull. Just want something that runs good and structurally sound. May start looking this off season.

Went out to Powhatan Lakes for couple hours yesterday evening with my daughter. As expected, when we arrived water was several feet high and chocolate milk muddy. Didn't seem to bother the fish any, our best 5 was easily over 14lbs bf we ran out of daylight! with the flooded bushes due to all the rain, can anyone guess what they were feeding up on?

My wife, daughter (10yr old) and I are visiting my dad who just moved from Clearwater area to the other coast in Micco area. Was just curious of some local attractions / beaches and things to do in this area since we become accustom to the clearwater area. We like to have things planned or ideas bf we get there to make as much out of the trip as we can. Also any local fishing holes i can hit from the bank would be cool as i wont have a boat. We will have transportation once we arrive, there for driving a couple hours is not that big of deal for us. Thanks in advance!

Im wanting to change out the hooks on my devils horse, but not sure how to change rear one. It doesn't have the little screws like the front 2 hooks. Any ideas? Also what is everyone replacing them with?
