  6. I live on the same rd as the lakes...They restocked it with crappie, catfish and diff types of sunfish. They said they haven't restocked bass as planned bc they realized there were still good numbers of small bass in the creek beds and said 1st yr after lakes being filled they had successful spawn! Biggest Ive caught out of there is about 3lbs bass since lakes have been refilled. Not bad they are getting bigger each year though! Lots of bass , pike, crappie! We caughtem all year long over there at top lake! I love living down the rd from them! Lower lake is harder to get into bc of the low level. But yes they are loaded with fish not huge ones but the numbers are there and growing! I fish there A LOT since just down rd! 8-)

  14. We hit both 1st & 2nd lake...normally if we take boat out we will go to the 1st lake...if we bank fish we do it at 2nd lake off dam. Lake shawnee has some NICE bass just takes lil time to locate them! My friend that lives on the lake has caught several 5lbs+ bass off the dam on 2nd lake.
  15. yes powhatan lakes are producing but nothing really over 3.5lbs but still fun. Its loaded with crappie and pike too! Top lakes you can walk on the dam or fish off the dock. Bottom lake you can also drive to the very back and fish off dam or dock. Dont be afraid to toss a jig into some of the spill ways i have caught several bass & crappie this way! My brother was looking for a place to bring his 9yr old to catch fish i told him to go there and there hooked!! His son caught a 3.5lbs bass right off the dock with minnow and lots of crappie! You wont catch many big ones but will catch numbers.
  16. i have never stayed there just bc i live about 45min away so i just drive...they do have pics of inside some of the cottages posted on the site did you see them?? It would be cool though to get handfull of people to rent one out for the weekend!

  18. I have fished only 1 of the innsbrook ponds on cox rd bc i used to work in those buildings that backed up to lake. I remember reading signs sayins you must work or be affiliated with the buildings at innbrook in order to fish but then again that was over 5yrs ago. Just wondering if anyone from the offices or that manages innsbrook area will say anything to us being that we will have a large group of people fishing at the same time?? would hate to get ran off...
