im finally gaining some skills
Today i went out to a pond near my house that i found on google earth. At first i was throwing a jig but couldn't get a bite , i had been there before and caught a ton on jigs and plastic worms close to shore, but wasn't having any luck. After seeing a couple blowups near the surface i decided to try a jitterbug and i must say WOW! top water fishing is the best fish were striking at my lure but missing i didn't care it was fun to watch and know that i could trigger these fishes instinct. i finally get one on but it jumps and i guess my line was brittle and it took my jitterbug it had it stuck in its mouth. I then proceeded to tie on a i think it called a pop n r that i got in the bargain bin for a 2 dollar and caught like 12 fish they weren't big but boy it was fun my first successful top water fishing. I finally had to stop when a fish took my pop r and wrap around a log it snap the line and it also left with my lure stuck to its jaw.
