Low gear ratio reels
So is his American Rodsmiths signature crankin rod....it's a beast and weighs like 5lbs

pflueger patriarch
I have handled both the LP and WLP...I only own the LPs but as far as fishablility goes...There are no differences in the two reels...The advantage of the WLP is if you were to use larger line....12lb+. Visually, the styles really need to be compared to really notice a difference. The WLP feels like an average reel...It's the LP that shocked me as to how small but for me that's a good thing...small hands.

Best rod for around $200 +/- $20
I wouldn't spend that much on a crank rod. As for a plastics rod I really like my Kistler Magnesium TS...Powell's seem nice too

Cast right and reel right.

pflueger patriarch
Definitely a great reel. I have two now but haven't had the chance to really break them in but can't wait until it's warm. I love the Patriarchs.

"senko" or knockoff setup
I use a 7'MH BPS Extreme, Pflueger President 6740, 12lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid, and usually a 2/0-4/0 EWG. I fish 5'' Wave Tiki Sticks, SK Zero's, ***, Kinami Flash, and Yum Dingers. I only have one pack of Senkos and they are the 7''

From what I have heard, Fluoro actually has more stretch than mono.

spin combo under $70
The Pflueger setup would be nice. I have a combo that ran around 50-60 bucks. A Mitchell Advocet II and a berkley lightening rod. It's a pretty good combo that has held up pretty well

P Line CXX
The Wal-Mart here was eliminating their P-Line inventory last month and had 8,10,15lb spools for $5. I bought some 8 and 10 lb spools and the 10 lb straightened an arkie jig hook I had without breaking

BPS hook quality?
They are ok, really lightwire hooks but seem to dull quickly. I would rather fish gamakatsu

Paca Craw or Rage Craw
I like the Pacas as well.

Tackle Warehouse!
I too enjoy using the services of Tackle Warehouse. I just recently ordered a megaton of baits and a flipping stick from them. Even from California, it only took three days to recieve my purchases

Akita swimbait?
The lake record Walleye at my local lake at home was caught on a snoopy pole Texas state record was caught on a crappie jig too. Doesnt make me want to bring a knife to a gun fight. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time. Shall I recite any more "cool" cliches? ;D

Fishing with Flukes
Personally, I can't buy a bite on a fluke or a fluke type bait...I'll stay with my smoke shad tiki stick as a shad imitator

Question about Abu Garcia Revo baitcasting reels
I thought the SX had a magnetic brake :-? Yes it does. It was the S model I casted. TMTLM syndrome. (Too Many Three Letter Acronyms). Gotcha....I'm not a revo kinda guy but I thought the SX was magnetic...I have casted the SX and the brakes are finicky IMO

CRAPPIE FISHING
would a soft plastic trailer (twin-tail grub, etc) be needed with that jig, or is it ready to throw "as is"? You can fish it bare but a trailer never hurts
