the most fun thing about spinning tackle
Aside from ease of use, this is a HUGE factor here on our very clear lake. Much more important than even line size is casting distance "Long cast, gets the bass" I get my chops busted quite a bit because since coming to BR, I have been fishing my honey hole rather exclusively, using spinning gear rather exclusively. After doing so, I can't remember why I ever bought baitcasters before. Don't get me wrong, they definately have their places. Flippin/pitchin is non existant at our lake and this is pretty much the only thing I would use a b/c for nowadays. I often get the argument that they are "weaker". I think not. I can tow a boat with some of the reels I have. I just love spinning gear.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
Only thing better than making friends is appreciating them. In time, they become family and a man with a big family is a wealthy one. BR is the epitomy of "share the wealth"

What was being fixed?
Many people aren't aware but Glenn also is in product development and has made a splicing converter that allows bandwidth capabilities to remain balanced whether i'ts a left handed or right handed shifter. Nice stuff. Also, unlike any other site out there, we have dual, balanced, harmonic immersion invertors. These run with almost 5.5 farad of back up. THANKS BOSS!! SWEEET!

What was being fixed?
Glenn had some stuff to do. As far as I can tell, he adjusted the front sway bar, installed a left handed smoke shifter and updated the P-chip.

Where did Jon Boat come from
I'm thinking Jon was the guy that built the first one. :) ;D They arose from the needs of river working folk. Somthing with minimal draft, beachable, stabler than a canoe and bulletproof compared to previous wooden alternatives. Essentially a river system work vessel.
-
Jon boat for bass boat conversion?
THIS is another option. The stability comes mainly from width and depth. The older boats like mine and fishbears are generally stabler than the newer models. They were built deeper and wider in shorter models. For example, the avg 12' is 36" wide (the narrowest model today) Back when mine was made, 40" was the narrowest model. An entire platform is not always needed, like with my boat. If I fished alone often I would deck the front 1/2 of my boat but I always fish with a buddy ,kid or chick so keeping a 2 seat set-up is key for me. There is no "better" seat in my boat.

Simplifying color choices-list your "go to" colors
I use 2 colors Natural dark Natural light (not the beer, although "beer", would be a good color too) lol

Raingear
A big thing to remember here is CARE. Many garments are great as long as you maintain them. Some fail miserably when neglected.

Dicks sporting goods
Replaced my endura 55 in minutes, no questions. Was 3 weeks old and the speed selector switch had no 4th or 5 th setting. Only clicked 3 times in forward.

Do the pro's use their signature series equipment?
I have a bunch of 'autograph cards' that they give out at conventions etc. I have Clunn's, signed. He's not holding his signature outfit, not even close.
