1oz rattle trap
They get even bigger too. We use these for stripers and blues, 1.25oz, 4" in bunker patterns but they can be found up to 5oz's I believe. (This is the lure I spent 4 hrs in the ER getting removed from my skull. I was always iffy about the stock hooks,..trust me,..they will penetrate bone. )

Peoples court-bad decision-tuna charter
I just watched the peoples court where a guy was on a charter and they caught a giant bluefin. When it came to the end of the day, the guy thought he was keeping the fish. He has no rights to the fish. A giant bluefin can only be taken if you have the commercial permits which belong to the boat. Each boat is allowed 1 fish/day with the NMFS permit. If the customer kept that fish, he would have been heavily fined. It is how the law is written. Now, around here, some captains actually give 1/3 back to the customer (after sale) not many, but a few. They don't have to. The judge ruled that the entire profit from the fish go back to the customer!!!!! That permit is like $1000 to even be legal to be in the game!! Very Bad decision. The worst part is this land lubber was chirping in the interview after that "I'm glad I could expose him for the Shuyster he is" etc etc. The captain had sent him a check for 1/3rd when he didn't have to!!! He was saying he would have never gone for giants because he could just hook up a line to his speedboat at the marina and take off fast and it would be the same thing, no fun, he wanted fish to eat!!! WHAT A CRUMB!! He doesn't even realize he is asking for SUSHI!! He thinks he's gonna steak it out and eat them like yellowfin! (Putting a chunk of bluefin on your grill is like lighting a tire on fire, more smoke than Willy Nelson's van) He got to have a 2 hr battle with a 720 lb tuna but it wasn't enough, unbelievable. I'm seriously APPALLED!! If the judge had taken the time to go look up the laws regarding the harvest and sale of a giant Bluefin,.it's cut and dry, but she ruled on her opinion of the story. APPALLING!!! Note to Captain- Nice job putting your client on the fish of a lifetime, well done. Screw Him.

Question On Culling
Never guestimate. Use a culling beam Many culling wires are designed to puncture the skin. Newer ones are much more fish friendly using a boga type grip on the lip.

rods with Revolving guides
OK. I thought the spiral wrap was more about laying the eyes on the spline (for a truer, better braced flex) than position of the reel.

Help!= Bionic Or KVD Rod ???????
Never used the KVD rod but the blade is a telephone pole IMO. I wasn't comfortable with that rod AT ALL. This opinion was formed when I was using extremes. Those I'm not crazy about anymore either, lol. You guys,...PLEASE stop putting expensive rods in my hand, you are corrupting me!! (Yes, that means YOU Redtail!!)(I'm still saving up for that darn reel!)

Encounter with a Whale
We encounter whales all the time. If you google "stellwagen bank, cape cod bay", you'll see that this is one of the prime feeding grounds for numerous types of whales including the largest and very rare Wright Whale which I was fortunate enough to witness on 2 diffent days. Amazing. We often will see the whale watching boats approach on the horizon and it gets you excited because that means the spotter planes have told them that the whales are surfacing and on their way to the bank (the bank is a canyon wall, where the bottom comes up from 380 ft to 120 ft, fish use boomerang shaped ridge to corral bait) to feed. This usually means the tuna are nearby. Whales=tuna ok so funny story. We had been on the bank about 2 hrs, it's about 6am (it's a 1 hr run), sun just came up and the air is warming. I break out my travel pillow and lay on my back up on the bow. Pilot whales (small) surface and blow all day long, they are harmless and often come close and check you out, surely not afraid, just curious. Well, I was just about fully dozed off and I hear another blowhole being cleared, but this one is loud. About 5-7 seconds later, we get rained on by this oilly, nasty, dead fish ranking snot stuff. I had that smell in my nose for a good week. I couldn't scrub it off my body for nothin. We hit 4 fish that week. (6 days) We were the highliners of the month and was known that season as "Mr October",lol I guess you could say we were "fishy"....in short,... Whales=Tuna but nobody will want to be within 10 ft of you for a week!!

I'm trying to play a dvd and it plays but is choppy. I get a warning when I first call it up which reads: The application requires DirectDraw acceleration, which is not available in your system. Please enable it in "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" (dxdiag.exe) in the tab "display" How would I do this?
