  1. Looks like someone still wants to play..... How about just getting a larger tank and another bearded?
  2. My point is that the customer is not allowed, by law, to own that fish. I agree with the bad communication, I can say though that catching that fish, was not on the docket for the day. When that school of giants showed up off our shores last year, it was the first time in 13-15 yrs. They have been by passing our canyons and going straight to Cape Cod bay. They were on a striper charter out of Snug harbor. When the Bluefin started beaking, they were fortunate to have the gear on board to get one. If I were out on a striper charter (which I would have been allowed"X" amount of filets) and I had the rare chance to strap onto a fish of a lifetime, top of the food chain,....I, PERSONALLY, would jump on it. I guarentee, when a school of 700 lb fish are breaking near you, you are not thinking "Oooh,..yummy",...WAY too much testosterone flying around for that! But again,...this is all irrelevant. That customer does not hold the permits to take ownershp of that fish.
  3. The banana superstition is saltwater,....where y'all fishin'?
  4. Just got off the phone with them, there is laundry about 2 miles down the road, really nice place supposedly, new machines. Also-No internet access at Fishermans cove marina. The hotel up the street has wifi and has a big parking lot though. ,lol.
  5. Is there anything down there other than the bed of the creek? I'm thinking there may be key spots only that they use if they even use that water. For example, is there a big boulder that sides on the inside crook of a right turn in the creek? Any sudden tuens in the creek at all? Things like that. also, some bodies of water only hold sufficient oxygen levels at certain depths. If you NEVER mark any fish below 60, there may not be enough 02 down there to sustain them. How many watts is your finder? are you marking ANYTHING down there?
  6. Hospitality? I all but got spit on because I asked about live bait!!! lol still, good idea muddy, the thing is, there isn't really anything close to donate to. No supermarkets, etc.
  7. BH-I'm up for a few hours sunday, PM if available.

  10. Oh yea, saw Kelley on the ramp and then again in our hot cove. He saw the whole thing. 8-)
  11. The anticipation of that first bite is similar to the excitement of the calm before the storm.
  12. Ray,....Ike was kidding dude. lol
  13. I confess. It was me. I shot out to visit redlinerobert last weekend and we stuck a real pig. 28.75lbs. Forgot the camera Robert didn't want to get slime in the Lambo so we just let her go. Sorry, we'll document the next one better.
  14. I use all "lightweight" versions of everything. I want my foul weather gear to just be an outer layer. I can layer underneath according to conditions. This allows for yr round use of your choice. Example. North face makes a "summit" series. Their best. They have the "mountain" and a "mountain light" in this series. I use the "mountain light" Same stuff minus insulation. Instead, they add an extra zipper inside so you can add a fleece or windwall layer. Also folks, remember, Gore-tex works much better if you are wearing "wicking" type clothing underneath. "vaporwick" is the North face example of this material but many manufactures make some type of wicking, anti-microbial garments. The layer closest to your skin is the most critical. Hope this helps.
  15. Put it in perspective. How often do you use roads? Granted, you could probably get to your destination without using ALL roads, but habit will have you taking the easiest route. Same for them. These roads also create "rest areas" and many of these areas have food delivery. (current) Great idea for an article here if anyone wants to take it. Creek channels, using national hwy system as an example
  16. If we are heading out for the 3am shift, it's a thermos os coffee and a few blueberry muffins for when the sun comes up. If it is a mid-day or evening outting, P B & J's hold up well and are packed with energy. One of Erics big accounts is a pizza place on the way to the lake, a free pie goes a long way after 4 hrs on the water too. Water is also a must.
  17. Welcome to the family mom!! 8-)
  18. Excellent!! Thanks Glenn for initiating this and thanks to Mr. Howell for taking the time to participate. I wonder if the mojo had anything to do with Randy not getting "taken out" by some of the crazy boat captains we have these days, lol. ;D Thanks again guys!

  21. If Muddy is still the navigator, let's hope he can follow bodily function directions better than he can follow a map! ;D
  22. I think he's saying Ronnie won't be getting a word in edgewise,lol.
