  1. Lucky Craft. The success they have had over a wide range of baits. The Pointer and RC 1.5 were game changers in the industry and the company was pioneering with their hard baits in other ways. .... less known but also excellent I would add O.S.P.

    I heard that too. Thanks.
  3. These snowy days can be the best for fishing, especially this late in the year. Water temps are around 50. You will see guys having success with lots of patterns. I think the first few fish can be the toughest when you begin to fish the colder months. Then you get some confidence and you are on your way.
  4. My best one from the bank this morning. All caught on Vision 110 and TN60.

I don’t own any Black Label but those look good.

Has anyone heard of plans for someone else to takeover the business or buy his equipment?
  7. I have had some stinkers with LC and even a few Megabass too. It’s not common but not rare either. Love those baits though.
  8. I used to keep some spares in packaging but not any more. Sometimes I would not open them for months or even a year or two. Once I fished them I would some times discover issues. Some suspending jerkbaits would sink or were high floaters, took on water, weight transfer balls stuck in rear of bait......at this point finding the original receipt and contacting the manufacturer for a replacement is harder. I test all of them right away and then they go to storage or in boxes I have for spares that I take with me but I know they are good.
  9. Our local lakes were kept ultra clear the past few years and the crankbait bite tailed off. You could still catch them but there were usually better options. I still like them a lot and they have there place.
  10. That is it. Thank you sir! I did a quick search and found that this color was very limited and is no longer available, but is well remembered.
  11. If you come across it let me know the name. Thanks. If Lurenet gets back to me I will post it.
  12. I did that earlier today. They can’t identify it but they said they will look further.
  13. Don’t think so. Mine does not have any craw scale patterns, just the dot behind the gill.
  14. That is a different color but from that angle it looks like it could be it. I have that color too. Thanks.
  15. 100 but I think I have the same color in a 200. I have many 100-300 but have gotten away from them the past few years. I looked for this color online today and could not find it. Maybe it was discontinued. I really like red and gold.
  16. Can anyone ID this Bandit color? The belly is gold not chartreuse. Thanks.
  17. Still have these in my panic boX.
  18. I am looking for a 7 foot plus spinning rod for 1/16 to 1/4 oz. I am using a Loomis 782 sjr glx. It’s rated 1/8 to 3/8 but handles 1/16 well. I want a longer rod for distance, preferably closer to 7’6”. I don’t want a whippy rod. Looking for a medium that can handle down to 1/16 at that length. This is for bottom contact in light grass as well. My 782 handles it fine I just want more distance. I would like to stick with Loomis. Not a fan of the recoil guides. I have one of their older bcr glx and never liked it. Still considering nrx. Been looking at reviews for nrx 901, 902, glx 892.
  19. Yes, I believe it’s usually 10 and 15 percent respectively.
  20. Looks a little like a Strike Pro Wigglin Oscar but can’t be sure.
  21. Cold, ultra clear water can be very tough to fish. Some of my local lakes are treated with ALUM a few times a year. Afterwards the lakes are crystal clear for several days. You can see fish from a distance but they are tough to catch. I think the fish are very aware that they are exposed and are more wary and they will often suspend. I will downsize to 4lb test and use very light tackle. Sometimes a faster presentation, even in really cold water, is better. Try going fast and speed it over the top, don’t let it reach close to their depth. Don’t let them get a good look. Also try windy banks. Very early and late in the day can be better too, even in late winter.

  23. That was my other guess. Thanks Paul.
  24. Thanks, I appreciate it.
  25. I would like to ID this grass. I thought it might be naiad. Thank you!
